Poor

Disliked: Access to leisure club is chargeable. Breakfast finishes at 9am. Place is generally tatty, rooms are very tired and it was generally poor value.

Exceptional

Liked: Nice food,nice staff, very clean
Disliked: All gd i have stayed 4 times

Spa night

Liked: Spa next door & good breakfast, plenty parking.
Disliked: Wedding was on, residents bar was very noisy, kids running in and out and doors open. Noisy in bedroom corridors with some staying, and noise outside til at least midnight

One night stay while travelling.

Liked: Quiet location. Staff were great and looked after us and our dog very attentively.
Disliked: Nothing, all worked well for our purposes.

Depending on room given depends...

Liked: Much nicer room this time round, plenty of room and clean and comfy.
Disliked: Restaurant was closed but we were warned before the day so took snacks.

Exceptional

Liked: The perfect stay away for me and my 5 year old. The staff were amazing with my child and made them feel really welcome. The grounds were stunning. Having a children's pool on site was good for an additional fee which was fairly competitive. There were adult only areas in the stables spa too. The hotel was well kept and the has traditional features. The room was cosy with everything we needed. The staff were exceptional throughout and the service was a 'proper northern' welcome. Lovely people. Thank you
Disliked: The pool was missing some tiles so it does need a bit of TLC to bring it up to the standard of the other areas of the Stables Spa complex.

Liked: Good location safe parking
Disliked: Now have to pay to use stables health club not advised of health club closing times so paid £17 for 30 minutes.Large wedding party at hotel upon arrival who congregated in a large noisy drunken group smoking around hotel entrance.Noise continued throughout the night in to early morning from wedding reception guests
