Set in the peaceful countryside of North Glenrothes, the Best Western Balgeddie House Hotel offers a classic country house experience with a modern twist. Originally built in 1923, this traditional hotel blends historic character with contemporary comforts like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and serene garden views. Surrounded by lush Fife landscapes, it's a calm and comfortable base for music lovers looking to escape the bustle after a big night out.
If you're catching a gig in Fife or nearby towns, this hotel is a smart pick thanks to its quiet location that's just a short drive from local music venues. After the energy of the show, unwind in the oak-paneled cocktail bar or soak in the countryside views. The 12:00 check-in is ideal for arriving early, and though check-out is at 11:00, the relaxed vibe makes mornings easy. Free parking makes it simple to get in and out, even for late-night returns.
The on-site Brasserie serves fresh Scottish cuisine and overlooks the gardens — ideal for a pre-show meal or post-gig wind down. A full cooked Scottish breakfast is available, so you don’t have to miss out even after a late night. While 24/7 room service isn’t offered, the cocktail lounge and bar stay open late enough for a relaxed nightcap, and Glenrothes eateries are just a short drive away.
While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, the cocktail bar is a cozy spot to unwind with a dram of local whisky. You're also within easy reach of bars and pubs in the Glenrothes area — perfect for continuing the night after the encore.
Guests rave about the friendly staff, peaceful location, and the hotel’s blend of old-world charm with modern amenities. Many highlight the beautiful gardens and restful atmosphere — exactly what concert-goers want after a loud night out. The quality of food and the traditional bar are also frequently praised.
While the quiet location is a plus for some, others mention that it's a bit off the beaten path — so having your own transport is recommended. Also, if you're hoping for 24/7 room service or a buzzing nightlife scene on-site, you might prefer a more central hotel.
If you're after a quiet, comfortable place to recharge after a concert — with Scottish charm, great food, and countryside views — Best Western Balgeddie House Hotel is a solid, soothing choice.

Overall I loved my stay...
Liked: As a solo female traveller I not only felt safe but felt welcome by the staff who are very friendly and helpful. Very peaceful grounds, beautiful garden to sit in to just sit and read if you wanted. The room was very spacious and the shower was a rainfall shower which was amazing.I ate in the hotel during my stay and each evening meal was nice, would definitely recommend the scampi. I loved the pool and the changing room area was very clean. The hotel has its own parking area which is very convenient, could see my car from my room.
Disliked: I ordered the the cooked vegi breakfast on my first day and it had more oil than a chip shop meal, the last day breakfast service was a bit off but it was a full room, my coffee was cold by the time I received it ended up heading to the local coffee chain before driving home. The only downside of my room is that there is no form of aircon and we were having real summer weather and even with the windows open the room was very very warm.

Liked: it was comfortable and convenient.Good gym and pool facilities and lovely green space outside. Having the lift was convenient
Disliked: there was no free water and there was a tray charge for room service. The rooms were not as advertised on the website (Deluxe room). The pillows on the bed were not that comfortable either unfortunately.

Excellent stay
Liked: The room was super, all the basics, which are important, were excellent. The lighting was great, the room had 2 chairs, the towel rail was kept on so no problem drying the towels, the bed was comfy, the shower was good and easy to operate and the room spacious. The breakfasts were super with good service. The reception team was very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: We didn’t have a good view.

Brilliant stay, lovely relaxing hotel,...
Liked: Quiet calm hotel on entrance, fantastic breakfast, very good service, not overly expensive hotel bar. Cosy bedroom
Disliked: Lots of stairs to get to the room, carpet slightly worn. Noisy fan in bathroom

Dissapointing due to the amount...
Liked: The staff in the restaurant were very accommodating. Food was really good standard and good value.
Disliked: There was a wedding which meant loud thumping music until 1am, people talking very loudly out the front of hotel and doors being slammed until 1.30am. I asked for a quiet room as part of my booking but with windows open or closed it was very noisy. I would not stay here agin if a function was on in hotel.
