Liked: Excellent staff. At one point I broke a nail. I know it's not a disaster for some. I ask the young lady on reception if they had any Emery Boards for sale. She said they didn't. She said she had a new one in her bag. She went and got it for me. Thank you for your kindness. I didn't know her name. The Room was very hot. I could have done with Air Condition. Also no grab rail in the shower. Apart from that an excellent time.

Liked: From booking to arriving and during stay everthing perfect and we were upgraded to the Garden House. Thank you. A 5 star from us

Good breakfast, quiet room, customer...

Liked: The full English breakfast was very good. The overall setting of the hotel is nice, with a pretty pond outside, and it was quiet even though it sits on a relatively busy road. Room was a decent size.
Disliked: Unfortunately we happened to be staying on one of the hottest days of the year. We were on the top of floor and at the top of a winding, narrow staircase. It was very hot with no aircon. We had one fan in the room and asked the reception whether an additional one could be given to us but we were not able to be provided with one. In general we felt the customer service was slightly lacking.

A good base to explore...

Liked: Room comfortable, stayed during very hot weather so fan was already in the room. Bar snacks and breakfast both really good. Everything worked! The luxury of a lift would be nice at the end of a long, hot day, but not essential! Bus stop from City Centre and Rail Station just outside the entrance!
Disliked: Room decor / style may not be to everyone's taste, but I can live with it.

Best Western, Best Hotel

Liked: Excellent room and absolutely spotless. High quality fittings in the bathroom and comfortable bed. Lots of space for clothing. The bar sells a good selection of beers and wines and whilst having no evening restaurant there is a good selection of bar bites for the evening snack. I recommend the baked camembert with bread, olives, Parma ham and salami with rocket salad and sun dried tomatoes. Very convenient for the city centre either walking, bus or taxi. Reception very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Good breakfast with made to order quasants.
Disliked: I liked everything about this hotel with a beautiful garden area. One of the best I have stayed in.
