Best Western Airport Inn

Overall - it was a good experience. 10-15 minutes from the Calgary airport.

Liked: Room was clean. Front desk team was friendly and helpful (though I wonder if first impressions could be stepped up by a little more formal attire ). The shuttle driver who picked me up was exceptionally friendly, warm and yet professional (he is originally from Thailand - he should get a raise). Breakfast was very good.
Disliked: Laundry basket heaped high in the hallways - difficult to get by with my own luggage. Coffee packs were not replaced daily. Laundry rooms were wide open to anyone walking by - seemed unprofessional.

Liked: Cleanliness was okay.
Disliked: There were only two plug-ins that were accessible and we had 4 items that needed to be plugged in. Also the plug-ins that were accessible were so loose that we had to put items under the plugs to keep the cords connected to the electricity!!

hotel room was fine -...

Liked: Room was good.Location was convenient.
Disliked: The hotel front desk staff insisted the room was not paid for and made me pay for the room again. I was very tired and just wanted to go to sleep so I paid for the room again. Finally another manager came around and saw that the room had been prepaid and said they would refund the room charges back to my card - but it would take 7-10 days before the refund would show up. Using low limit card for travel - having to wait up to 10 days for a refund is not acceptable and having the hotel argue with me about the room being prepaid makes both them and hotels.com a very poor choice to use for booking.

Disliked: Facility is old and needs lots of renovations. Some of the electrical outlets didn’t work in the rooms. Questionable cleanliness of the rooms.
