We would come back and...
Liked: We loved our stay. We got upgraded to a suite which was fantastic and very kind of the staffLocation was brilliant a short walk to the stationVery very comfortable bed, great pillows and felt luxurious Jet bath tub
Disliked: There was quite a bad sewer smell in the lobbyOur TV had no volume but we didn’t turn on the TV until late, and didn’t want to disturb the staff Very dated, from head to toe. It didn’t bother us, but just very dull

Liked: Comfortable and good size room Jacuzzi bath Reception team very welcoming and professional
Disliked: Bar was closed No evening meal available after 7pmpoor service from other staff at breakfast Carpet in room stainedNo biscuits on arrival in roomNo room service available although advertised Corridors smelt very badly if raw sewage In dinning area when having breakfast the curtains opposite me were very dirty where there he been a leak and no one cleaned them.

Much better than last few...
Liked: My 20th visit to this hotel. Last few were mixed bag. This time, things appeared better overall for the cleanliness, room furnishings and house keeping. They are always short staffed (always) which means no one ever picks the phone up - be it house keeping, reception or an operator- the phones would keep rining and ringing and ringing.. so if you need anything, you need to physically come down to the reception.
Disliked: Short staffed and dining room staff never visible. For 2 days in a row, walked to the dining room for b'fast but staff fully engrossed in their phones and didn't bother looking and left for the kitchen.. Walked out and ended up having b'fast for all 3 days next door to a great new b'fast place "The Other Kitchen".. Wish the management took interest in improving this incredibly great property with awesome large rooms, decor, bathrooms and furnishings.. Short staffing is killing this iconic property
