Liked: great bfast. couldn't get an evening meal. wouldnt let me have some fruit .
Disliked: employ people who know how about customer service....egi checked out at 10 am greeted by a lady in reception.......Can I check out I saidOh, not really sure I can help you, im not really a receptionist, she saidakward silence - i was dumb struck as i'd never heard something so odd in my 7 years travelling the world..i break the silence withcan i leave my key...oh yes, good, I will write a post it...kept me chuckling all day....that said the b and b is amazing the gardens healing....Kelly and the other waiting staff are amazing!

Liked: Super convenient, spacious & very welcoming. Benslow House has plenty of parking, beautiful gardens & the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. We were able to check in early & were upgraded to an en-suite room

Liked: The main building is very grand with ample parking at the front. I was in a single room in an out building behind with a shared bathroom. The room was very basic with a single bed, which I expected and was decent for the price. The bed was comfortable and there were tea and coffee facilities provided. The bathroom was fine although the shower would have been tricky to use due to the sloped ceiling (I decided to skip that). Breakfast was a buffet of cooked items, cereal and fruit and was very much appreciated after having been at a wedding the day before. Overall a good visit and I would recommend to anyone stopping in Hitchin.
Disliked: Both when I wanted to check in and check out no one was in reception, once I found a service bell near the kitchen the process went smoothly.
