Great location with friendly staff.

Liked: Located in the middle of town close to all shops, cafes etc. Bar meals were good value standard fare. Breakfast was buffet style and a mix of cooked / cereal. Staff were faultless, friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The hotel is huge, it is a little tired in places. However everything worked and was spotlessly clean. No complaints

Disliked: No fridge, I bought ice to keep our drinks cold to put in the sink, but the sink didn't hold water, so ice didn't last long

Nice location, below average hotel...

Liked: We’ve stayed a couple of times before. We like the location and the huge downstairs space. The Liverpudlian receptionist was nice and helpful but we don’t feel the hotel is value for money anymore.
Disliked: We only had two lamps and two side tables for three people. One lamp didn’t work. The shower had nearly no pressure. The bath took 40 minutes to fill for our child. The breakfast wasn’t as good as before and service was slow. We paid twice as much as previously. The high rate isn’t worth the money. It’s a shame.

Liked: Lovely staff. Super helpful. Really accommodating. Great space to walk the dog quickly. They accept dogs! Great cooked breakfast.
Disliked: It’s tired. Can see they’ve done some work on the rooms to give them a fresh contemporary feel, like new carpets etc. but cracked sink, avocado bath suite, tired bathroom all over. Why were the potato scones overcooked? So crispy, they’re not supposed to be!
