Liked: Nothing. Arrived to find hotel closed. Greeted by ex employee who happened to be there to be told owner was ill. I had read reviews to that effect and had messaged Booking . Com . in advance but had no reply from them.Fortunately had a back up plan as I suspected something was wrong.
Disliked: The hotel Currently closed.

Liked: The property was closed and did not answer the phone. It should be removed from booking.com. I expect to be compensated.

A VERY EXPENSIVE MISTAKE!!!

Liked: upon arrival - we were greeted by a drunken host who refused to allow access to our rooms. ( booked via booking .com several moths earlier) he was rude and half dressed!! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN ON ARRIVAL!! I HAVE COMPLAINED TO BOOKING.COM BUT THEY HAVEN'T GIVEN ME ANY SUPPORT AS YET!!

Disliked: Nothing After a very long day motorcycling from the South East of Scotland around the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, Glenfinnan and Lochaber, I arrived by ferry at Ardgour and rode to the B&B on Saturday evening at 8.35pm. I chapped the door, went in and rung the bell at reception - no-one replied. I heard grunting coming from the sitting room, went in and found a very dishevelled, DRUNK male lying on the sofa with an empty whisky bottle and glass tipped on the carpet. I asked if he knew where the proprietor was? He grunted something incomprehensible and I asked again - he said it was him!! I asked if he needed a minute to get himself together, but he lay pished on the sofa unable to move. He then told me he wasn't expecting anyone - I offered to show him the reservation made on Monday 17 June, he said I wasn't expecting you. I asked if he'd checked his booking since Monday, he just shrugged at me. He asked how I got there, I said motorbike and he told me it would be better to jump on my bike and go. As I went to leave - he asked me not to leave a bad review. I then had a 175mile motorcycle journey with a ferry to catch first, riding through thunder and lightening and pitch black, finally arriving home at 1.30am. I would recommend steering clear of this B&B, you would only be very disappointed. I think I had a lucky escape - on hindsight I can only liken it to Bates Motel!!

Liked: No one was there. Entrance Reception door was locked. I was left high and dry!
Disliked: Looked run down from the outside but I never stayed there as no one was in the hotel. Empty. No cars. No people. Deserted.

Charming host. Great food but...

Liked: The breakfast and evening meal were excellent and good value.
Disliked: The TV didn't work and the property was shabby and in need of TLC

Liked: The bed was comfy and the host kind.
Disliked: I'm afraid the dining and breakfast rooms were quite dirty. There were discarded plates of food and dirty cups on the table and used cutlery on the floor. I had asked for an early breakfast but no-one was around. I had earlier seen the gentleman in charge running into the kitchen but he was not around at the time arranged. I popped my head into the kitchen to see if he was still in there and quite frankly wished I hadnt. It was VERY unclean. I ate my own breakfast but still got the runs. Not good on a cycling holiday. I think the gentleman running the place was/is overwhelmed. He had no staff. Things had clearly got on top of him.
