Modern elegance with a historic twist, Bellwether House is a 5-star bed and breakfast nestled in Savannah’s picturesque historic district. Just a short stroll from Monterey Square and Forsyth Park, this beautifully restored property blends boutique luxury with the warm, welcoming vibe the South is known for. With an outdoor fireplace, wellness spa, and champagne breakfasts, it’s a stylish hideaway perfect for making your concert weekend unforgettable.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and Bellwether House delivers. It's walking distance to downtown venues and hotspots, but tucked just far enough away to offer a quiet retreat when the encore fades. With 24-hour front desk service, flexible check-in starting at 3:00 PM, and private parking, your late-night arrivals and early check-outs are a breeze. Free Wi-Fi throughout the property lets you upload your concert reels before bed.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to unwind in style between shows
  • Solo travelers crossing artists off their bucket list
  • Couples turning a concert into a romantic weekend
  • Fans needing a peaceful place to recharge after loud nights
  • Budget-conscious music lovers seeking luxury without the chain hotel vibe

Food and Drink Options

Kick off your day with a champagne breakfast or fresh pastries from the in-house café—even if you slept in after a late show. While 24/7 room service isn’t available, the on-site coffee shop and bar keep the essentials flowing. You're also steps from Savannah’s celebrated culinary scene, with walkable dining options for every craving.

Nightlife Options

Savannah’s nightlife is just around the corner. Whether you're into laid-back lounges or buzzing bars, it’s all within easy reach. The Bellwether House itself offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for winding down with a nightcap by the outdoor fireplace after a high-energy show.

What People Say

Guests rave about the impeccable service, peaceful ambiance, and high-end touches. The spa services and sunlit terraces are often mentioned as highlights, while the location earns praise for being close to everything yet blissfully quiet.

Areas for Improvement

While the Bellwether House excels in charm and comfort, it's not the spot for those seeking a full-service hotel with a gym or pool. And because it’s a boutique-style B&B, room availability can be limited, especially around big concert weekends—so book early!

The Bottom Line

If you're looking for a stylish, serene base just minutes from Savannah’s music venues, Bellwether House hits all the right notes.

Beautiful home, great location, could

Liked: Loved the location, bedding, and barista Bailey especially! He made great drinks!
Disliked: We were disappointed that at the end of our stay they charged us an additional $70 /2 nights of $35 parking fees that they said were inclusive of the afternoon tea and breakfast, however that was supposed to be included in our stay. We also parked ourselves on the street and didn’t use their parking. Breakfasts felt like they upscaled things they bought at Costco, and was not to the quality we had anticipated when we originally booked.

This was our forth visit...

Liked: The bed was very comfortable, the towels were soft, the best part of our stay. When booking our asks were a King bed with at least a garden view and a healthy breakfast . Parking was important but we could park on the street if needed. The Inn provides a parking area close by.
Disliked: The room was upgraded when we arrived. Our original reservation was made for a King bed with a garden room. What we were given before the upgrade was a room in the cellar off the back of the house with access down stairs. The room we were upgraded to was upstairs in the same area with the only access being we had to climb up medal stairs uncovered. Not fun when it rained and it did. To access the inside of the house we had to go down the medal stairs and through the back door of the house. We were looking forward to a great breakfast and unfortunately, it was not. We did receive an email asking if we have any special dietary request’s. I emailed back and asked if they had fresh fruit and flavored creamers for coffee in the morning. Breakfast they provided was a continental breakfast with whole apples and oranges. They had danish and bagels, hard boiled eggs. There was know bacon or sausage and cooked eggs. It was a carb feast. The picture attached shows the sink and mirror outside the bathroom, which is not ideal for privacy.

Great BNB, Weak Breakfast

Liked: Quaint hotel with 16 rooms. Comfortable beds, easy access, and friendly staff.
Disliked: The reservation includes a “free breakfast.” The breakfast was pretty weak, even by cheap hotel standards. Nothing but heated up carb-type breakfast food and very limited fruit and yogurt offering. We stayed here partially because of the breakfast, and this part of our stay was highly disappointing.

Liked: The location and staff were great.
Disliked: The room was so much smaller than it looked online and the breakfast was not very good.

Loved but need attention to...

Liked: That its a historical place with lots of charm!
Disliked: Our room was nice, but needed a lot of attention to details on finishing up Repairs, several items that need to be completed. The toilet was running in the our bathroom and no cold water in our sink, the bed was not made up properly and the floor was dirty upon arrival. The back door to our room was very hard yo open and close and lock.

Friendly hotel with some nice...

Liked: Continental breakfast was good although mostly the same each day. The location was fair, usually a good walk to most of the attractions. The staff especially Paul were very friendly. The afternoon tea and champagne were added touches.
Disliked: We were disappointed that we had not been pre-warned that our room was in the basement. If we had known we would have upgraded.
