Bellevue Manor

It did the job but...

Liked: Location was perfect. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Disliked: The mattress was very soft and the pillows were all memory foam. Asked for softer pillows but couldn’t do anything about the mattress. I did get the pillows the same day too so a good response. Breakfast served from 8am which is too late in my opinion. Also a pretty poor selection of food, no wheat bread, only hot option was quiche/ham, croissants and pastries were so stale - I did speak to the manager about it and he said well breakfast is included so you didn’t pay for anything. That was an interesting response and as i picked this hotel on the basis of breakfast being included and parking being available it didn’t sit very well with me. The walls of the rooms are super thin - if you stay here pray you have no one next door to you as you can hear everything. And don’t go in room 110 as it’s right by the entrance to the hotel and the door gets slammed on a regular basis.

Liked: Excellent location, walking distance from downtown where the restaurants and stores are. Also close to the mansions, directly at Bellevue Av. Large room. Nice breakfast.
Disliked: Wifi router was right above the bed and it’s bright light made it hard to sleep - we had to cover it with some clothes.

So relaxing, conveniently located, and...

Liked: Absolutely loved the location. Close to Thames and that Picnic Cafe is just a perfect place for breakfast and lunch options. But...no need to go out for breakfast as the breakfast at the Manor was delicious with many options. The room was spacious, clean, HVAC worked well, was well-lit and a quiet location with a porch to sit and enjoy morning coffee. The staff was very friendly and accessible.
Disliked: Not one thing. It was perfect and better than I expected!

Liked: Good parking and close proximity to the marina, wharf area. Great breakfast. Staff was excellent with directions and follow up.
Disliked: Beds were a little too firm. But rest of the room was great.
