Liked: This is a snug property on Highway 3, reached from the mainland a few miles before reaching the center of Bar Harbor. The room we had was small but comfortable, the bed exceedingly so. Would we stay here again? Yes.
Disliked: The bathroom and its shower were small, but no major complaints. There was no maid service after our first of two nights. The “grab and go” breakfast was handy, but we found a much better alternative on the second morning at the Crooked Porch coffee shop a short drive (or walk) away.

Disliked: Size of room and bathroomi was tiny and not what I expected for the price paid. Could barely move in the bathroom and bathroom door doesnt shut! Facility is older, roof needs painting. Overall it was clean but found a used washcloth hanging on the bathroom door.

Great location and nice motel.

Liked: The Belle Isle is a nice motel to stay while exploring Mount Desert Island/Acadia National Park. It's not fancy and the rooms are quite small, compared to the chain hotels. But it was clean and comfortable. For this location (which is a heavy tourist area in season) this motel was reasonably priced, compared to the competition, and was fine for us.
