Kirra H, San Jose, visiting DNA Lounge
Super close to Market Street dining and shopping. Clean; lobby is beautiful and boutique-like; parking garage is attached. Very pleasant and, for San Francisco, priced fairly. It was what I expected from a Holiday Inn Resort.
Disliked: No mini fridge; bed was way too firm for me; a bit noisy, but they give earplugs.
Joann, Garden Grove , visiting San Francisco Design Center
Liked: Everyone that I encountered (staff) at the hotel were very professional, friendly, and willing to help. The lobby was kept clean at all times.
Disliked: None.
Denise, Brentwood , visiting Orpheum Theatre San Francisco
Liked: Clean; comfortable beds and pillows; nice lounge and great, friendly staff.
Shelley K, Santa Cruz, CA
This is a great hotel to stay at if you are going to see a concert at the Civic Center. Clean; cheery, helpful, friendly staff; good price; well decorated room; comfy bed and pillows. Convenient location.
Liked: Clean; great, friendly staff.
Disliked: Restaurant - mediocre, but friendly waitstaff.

Look elsewhere.
Liked: Not much to like.
Disliked: Much not to like. First and foremost, for nearly the entire stay, the five passenger elevators of a 14 story hotel were out of operation. That left two service elevators shared by guests and staff for a part of Saturday and then was down to one service elevator by Saturday afternoon through Monday morning when we left. During this entire time, (since Friday evening) there was no evidence whatsoever that they hotel was attempting to bring the five passenger elevators back into service. This was, and is, unacceptable, especially when our stay cost over $1,000 for three night; it is probably also illegal. Additionally, the room was shabby, the bed coverings were falling apart, there was little attempt to disguise or hide the various cords and cables hanging throughout, there was a guest fridge just sitting in the room, without an cabinet or enclosure, reminding me of my dorm room in the early '80s, there was no microwave, and were huge stains in the carpet just outside the room. On top of it all, the walls were so thin, I could easily here most ever sound and conversation in the room next door. And finally, a strawberry that had been laying on the ground near the service elevator since Saturday morning was still there on Monday.

Deserves as many stars as...
Liked: Location
Disliked: Full hotel with literally one elevator (service) out of six working. Front desk refused to answer ANY calls.

Very poor
Liked: The location was good for my needs. Just remember it's in San. Francisco so expect some street dwellers. They tend to keep to themselves, but watch your step.
Disliked: The hotel was down to one working elevator and it was the service elevator. Ten floors of guest rooms and only one elevator. It also doesn't stop on the garage floors so be prepared to take the stairs if you're parked there.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Liked: The lobby.
Disliked: The elevators were not working so you had to take the service elevator which only one of those were working. So many stairs to get to the parking garage. NOT ADA compliant which is a bad thing. The shower tub turned into a reservoir while showering. The hallway carpets were stained like all over. The parking garage smelled like a urinal.

With no working guest elevators...
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: None of the guest elevators were working and only 1 of the service elevator (maximum 5 people) was working for all of our 4-nights stay. Lines to the one elevator were long so I had to walk up the stairs to the ELEVENTH floor several times.Because the staff also had to wait for the one elevator, they were unable to service the room. We ran out of clean towels, the shower soap was empty.ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR A RESORT FEE. This barely functions as a hotel. Certainly not a resort. Adds insult to injury

Love the place, fix the...
Liked: I love the hotel for its closeness and convenience to the Dore Alley street fair. It’s my go to hotel, and I’m willing to pay a little extra for the convenience of being able to walk to all my favorite places with ease.
Disliked: The elevators are always down during the Dore alley and Folsom street weekend. This stay was particularly bad because only the service elevators worked and every guest was forced to use a single service elevator to go up and down. Not a problem if I’m on a lower floor, but this stay I was on the 11th floor.

Very poor
Liked: We had to use the service elevator the entire stay and walk many flights of stairs from the garage to get into the hotel to take the service elevator that was only aloud 5 people at time and your also Competing with the staff to clean the hotel.Because it is after all , a service elevator. I meant to write this and didn't like i'm not rewriting sorry
Disliked: Please read above.I wrote in the wrong spot. I'm a person who has disabilities, so it have to walk and try to figure a way to get In-N-Out of the garage to get into the lobby up. Multiple stairs not offered a compensation or even given a compensation was very disappointing for many of the guests as we were talking about are experienced collectively in the Service elevator.
