Liked: Nice breakfast, comfy bed, and clean.
Disliked: Problems with shower - either too hot or too cold. Also, not in a nice area or near somewhere for tea.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff in what was really a good local pub rather than an international hotel
Disliked: Food and availability of it. No fresh air in room and furniture which was falling to bits

Liked: Have stayed here many times before and it?s been great but unfortunately this time it was pretty poor-due to lack of staff I think
Disliked: The room,breakfast etc. We were given room 6 which is just down the corridor from the main reception and bar. Room was cold,no heating on at all during our stay! 2 wardrobes in the room but no hangers! I went to reception and asked for some hangers but the lad on reception said they don?t provide hangers for guests?! But I said to him all other rooms I?d stayed in before had hangers!-what?s the point in having wardrobes if they don?t provide hangers to hang clothes up?! He went to find some but said he couldn?t so I said not to worry as we were only staying for one night! We went out that evening and when we returned to our room there was 5 hangers lying on the bed which was great but they had no metal hook part on them so still couldn?t hang up my clothes!!!! There was constant noise,banging,cars coming & going from the car park all night-had a terrible nights sleep as bed also uncomfortable and squeaked every time you moved! Thought I?d payed for breakfast but was told I hadn?t so payed for it at reception-£14 for two. Restaurant was half empty but all tables bar two had all dirty plates,cups etc left on them from people that had already been to breakfast had left but no one clearing or cleaning the tables! There was no glasses for the juice which had almost gone too,no coffee cups or teaspoons and the coffee had run out! Also no plates to put the breakfast on!! Absolute shambles! Had to ask several times for all issues to be sorted,just a complete lack of staff,those who were working were rushed off their feet trying to do reception,bar,restaurant,everything!! A real shame as normally this is a good hotel. Very disappointed this time and will think twice about staying here again!

Urgent renovation required!
Liked: The McDonald's around the corner
Disliked: The whole of the hotel décor- all in urgent need of a refurbishment!

Liked: Last minute booking .parking
Disliked: No experienced staff didnt know how to book in or change a barrel in the bar ..broken parts in room as in lamps ..bathroom handle fell off .shower poor ..marks all over walls .not enough staff

Liked: Everything was excellent . Argentina alan what a great guy couldn?t do enough for us . We?ve found our new home for our Liverpool trips . Such Great value for money location perfect superb stay ?
