Good location.

Liked: Good location for the event we were going to. The staff were extremely helpful with information and finding us taxis.
Disliked: It is on 5 levels. The main car park is on the lower ground, so as we were on the 5th floor we had to shuffle around with our car bringing up to the main road to unload. There is no lift, so if you have walking difficulties etc ask for an easy room when booking. Breakfast could have been better.

Disappointed

Liked: Breakfast was well cooked. When I expressed dissapointment on check in the manager was informed and did offer some consideration which was appreciated. I realise that work is being done to improve the property but this was not clear in the booking or the communication and was not reflected in the cost.
Disliked: There was a lot of building work being undertaken and this impacted the overall impression. Generally the property looked tired and in need of work and the overall impression was low for the cost. However it was more than the building work for example the entrance from the carpark was via steps up through the back and at the entrance door was a cigarette stubber which was full and had not been emptied and was not cleaned during the whole time we were there. Generally the condition of the room and the paint work was out dated and felt very basic and not the luxury type accommodation I had expected for the price point - Compared to other hotels in the local area I have stayed it was not the best value in my opinion. I am sure once the work is completed many of the issues raised here wil be resolved.
