With a stunning location overlooking the Great Ouse River in Bedford's town center. Bedford Rail Station is only 1 mile from the hotel providing 40-minute links to central London. Contemporary 4-star rooms are decorated with rich fabrics signature wall papers and stylish furniture. All have air conditioning flat screen LCD TVs and free WiFi internet access is available throughout the hotel. Pen and Cob the on-site British brasserie is open for breakfast brunch lunch and dinner. good quality hotel but the...

Liked: generally everything was good but:
Disliked: one of the pillows was unclean.the bedroom carpet was dirty.there wasn't a welcome pack and for example, we couldn't find the hairdryer initially and so I didn't bother to wash my hair, but this was eventually located just before returning prior to going to bed, tucked away in a drawer space, a welcome pack or note stating where everything was kept, would have been useful and stopped this scenario from happening.The staff at breakfast time, were more interested in speaking amongst themselves than speaking to the hotel guests, for instance we made our own way to a table, weren't told whether or not the meal was a buffet or table service and had to go and enquire ourselves and felt as if we were interrupting their conversation, which of course we were but not a good advert for the level of service on offer.

dreadful - lovely staff let...

Liked: Location great - on site parking convenient
Disliked: ordered flowers and champagne. They don't do flowers so I had to order myself. They don't do champagne so had to go with prosecco. Asked for hese to be in the room on arrival - not done> No hot water that evening - but not told on check in. Breakfast quality dire. Bar service dreadful - no soda water?

Cant wait to return

Liked: room was clean and decorated lovely. The bed was comfy but not the pillows, however that is just personal prefrence not a complaint. heating worked and room was nice tempreture. location is excellent and we had a lovely walk along the river watching swans and rowers.

Liked: Good location.
Disliked: No eggs at breakfast. Replenished ten minutes later, after I'd eaten! Social distancing of dozens of evening party goers in the bar was awful i.e. non existent.
