Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa, Mildenhall

A big Thank You to all the staff at The Bedford Lodge for making our stay a most enjoyable one from arrival to departure. Have stayed here a number of times and will definitely stay here again when returning to Newmarket. Also a thank you to the owners for setting such high standards that the staff achieved without exception.

Liked: Lovely atmosphere. All staff were welcoming and all gave impeccable service. Room was clean as were all other amenity areas of the hotel. Food was delicious. Would reccommend this hotel to anyone visiting Newmarket or surrounding areas.
Disliked: Had to leave.

People in hotel were amazing, professional and extremely helpful from the moment we checked in until we checked out. The service in the restaurant was extremely good, nothing too much trouble. The staff were very friendly, kind and the food was lovely. The reception staff were lovely, made sure everything was OK with the rooms and anything else we needed. I would 100 per cent recommend the hotel to all my friends and family.

Always a delight to stay...

Liked: Breakfast. I tried the haddock which was lovely but too much for me. I don't really eat hot breakfast as I normally find it too filling. Had a few oats but shame there weren't any fresh bananas to add to it. They need more nut choice.
Disliked: Breakfast. I didn't like/ eat the porridge i felt it wasn't cooked enough. Too firm.. They need more dorset cereal type meusli and fresh bananas, strawberries or fresh blueberries as one can't add an already mixed fresh fruit swimming in juice. I don't eat a hot breakfast generally. Bar Lunch. Would like better choices. We struggled to find anything but we were hungry and only needed a small meal.. The sandwich my husband had was very large triple decker but he didn't like it much as it fell apart and the crayfish contents fell out when he tried to eat it. I ended up with macaroni cheese with a grilled cauliflower slice, due to lack of choice. I would have liked a small quiche salad, small lasagne with salad or maybe cottage pie. Crayfish salad would have been my choice if available. Avocado and prawns. Simple food.
