Bad

Liked: Some staff were lovely.
Disliked: Check-in was 3 pm.. 2.58pm i got an email saying our rooms had been cancelled. We checked in still and saw the email afterwards. The rooms were awful. Mum had a refurbished one. The inner window where it opened was thick of muck and dust, lots of black limescale in shower head and silicone in the bathroom. Lots of dust and debris under the table off refurb. I had an old room,an old peach bath that never held its water, and refused to use the shower because of limescale build-up. Thick of muck in window, and the glass itself was rotten. Double bed was two single mattresses pushed together to baby kept getting her foot stuck. We could hear every noise, door bang, and people have sex because the walks are paper thin. 3 nights of broken sleep take it tole, especially after activity fun days around Blackpool. We wouldn't let the kids use the pool as I wasn't convinced it was clean. Games room, everything was turned off the two times my son tried to go in. Even the stairs and hallway are dirty, needs a good hoover, hand marks on walls and thick of muck and dust around the skirting boards. Not a clean window in the building. Its Basic housecleaning. Never ever stay there

Disliked: When walked into room 1st thing we noticed was that the sheet for the bed didn't fit.. then we opened the blinds to have the worst few we ever had as a couple who use booking.com a lot.. we couldn't get the shower to run a normal temperature so had to go an get lad from reception who spent near 15 minutes trying to work it out an his only comment was that they were new showers but definitely dont look new. I looked up and roof of bathroom had mould over it.. every part of the floor creaked as soon as u moved on it.. in all honesty this is by far the west hotel ever stayed in..we travelled from liverpool to have a relaxing night away an this is what we came to..so disappointed

Disappointing

Disliked: First of all we arrived at the hotel and 1st impressions were not great. They were fitting laminate flooring in the entrance hall. We had contacted prior to ask if there were somewhere to leave bags as it was likely we would arrive earlier than the 3pm check in time . We was told we could leave our bags which we did but was advised that we could not check in until 4pm as they were short on house keepers. We went for a walk ect and arrived back at the hotel. Collected our bags and was given the room key. We was told our room was on the 2nd floor . The lift was out of order so we had to carry 2 heavy suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. The carpets were ripped , dated and the hotel was in need of alot of improvements. Definitely did not match the description or the images on the website. On arriving in the room it didn't get any better. The room was tiny and overlooking flats. Only 1 window to open except the bathroom window which let no air in at all . Bedroom was clean but as previously said very dated. Cracked wall floor to ceiling. This room was not homely at all . No mini fridge to put drinks in to keep cool. No safe to store personal belongings. Whilst we were settling in and putting things away the cleaning knocked on the door after trying the door with a key then just walked in looking for a mobile phone after she asked and we said we hadn't seen it . Then no apology for just barging in. The bathroom radiator came on in the evening and we wasn't able to turn it off as the control was broken. The shower was tiny we had to leave the door open to be able to bend down to wash lower legs. There were no hand towel or bath mat . Breakfast was cheap ingredients and not enjoyable at all . No one offered to show us around so we had to find the restaurant for ourself.

Liked: Bed was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Hotel could do with abit of tlc . Repaint at least up to rooms . The room itself wasn’t too bad done the job

Exceptional

Liked: From start to finish our stay was exceptional.the staff were friendly and helpful.the facilities were ten out of ten.the location was excellent.it was clean,warm and very comfortable.i liked the fact someone was on hand 24hrs.the breakfast was yummy.lots of choice and variety. The food was hot and plentiful .in whole I loved every minute and will definitely be rebooking

Disliked: Swimming pool, the only thing

Never go to this hotel...

Liked: Location was ok breakfast was the best thing about the hotel, everything else was really bad.
Disliked: Poor cleanliness dirty walls, cigarette but and dirty tissue on carpet, dirty cups, everything was grubby and really poor hygiene.
