Beaver Run Resort

Disappointing

Disliked: The balcony door lock was not working. I even called to inform the staff and no one came to fix it. The main bedroom door lock did not work either. The bedrooms did not have AC or fans. The water was leaking from the shower.

Great common amenities, rooms are...

Liked: I will say that this hotel has just about everything you could need to purchase for a comfortable visit. There is a Starbucks, bar, restaurant, grab & go “market” of sorts. The 24hour arcade proved to be an inexpensive way to spend the evening.
Disliked: The room is not worth the price paid. There was no AC, (but there was a desktop fan provided). There were only 2 small lamps in our room that do not offer good lighting in the evening. The kicker is the window curtains and sunlight - the curtains don’t even cover the windows fully without gaps between them, which means a TON of light streaming in the morning. The other component is that our room had 2 mirrored closet doors directly across from the window which meant the light was amplified further.

Exceptional

Great place for last-minute overnight...

Liked: Nice spacious condo. The views from the bedrooms were really spectacular. I was able to get a two-bed suite at short notice. It's walking distance (about 20 minutes) to Main Street restaurants.
Disliked: The layout was a bit confusing, and it was hard to figure out where we were on the map. Getting in and out of the property by foot was a little confusing. It seems a little sterile and dated.

Superb

Liked: The abundance of pools impressed me! Great location and the views from top floors are amazing.
Disliked: The configuration of those studio apartments were a little strange. Your bed is right at the door but the living room is much bigger and closer to the windows. At the time we were there it was very hot, so not having central air was a downside.

Liked: Amazing views, the pools and hot tubs were great. Loved all of it. Will definitely book again!
Disliked: Nothing. Everything was great.

Nice stay but "resort fees"...

Liked: Great location with friendly staff. The beds were comfortable and the hotel let us stay right in Breckenridge which is what we were looking for.
Disliked: Items at the store did not have prices on them. Upon checking out you would learn the price, also find a hidden resort fee, and be asked to tip the person who just rang up a soda for you. Somehow I paid over $6.00 for a single 20oz bottle of Diet Coke. The vending machine down the hall sold the same bottle for $4.00.The rooms were not quite as nice as I expected. The tub and toilet seat both had significant wear marks I suppose from years of scrubbing. Overall it's an ok but dated place in a really beautiful location.
