Not what I expected.
Liked: Good view of the surrounding mountains and walkable to Jasper town centre. Easy to find .
Disliked: The room was small. Was expecting a cabin but got a room barely big enough and cramped. No microwave.

Very pleasant place to stay....
Liked: Not applicable.
Disliked: Nowhere to place coffee maker or kettle. Staff could have been a little more welcoming.

Very good
Liked: Everything was exception except the internet. The wifi was poor and continues to disconnect so we ended up using phone data during our stay.

Free upgrade to a Cottage...
Liked: Worth noting - we were given a free upgrade from the Deluxe Lodge Room (in the main lodge) to our own Standard Cottage (allegedly the newest building). Automatically, better value for money. Everything in Jasper was a short walk away. Bed was very comfortable, the room was nicely decorated and open plan with good amenities (toiletries, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge). Bathroom was clean and modern, shower was decent size.
Disliked: We were there for a week, so an oven would have been useful but we made do - I just want to make others aware. Other kitchen staples were missing such as cooking oil and seasonings. Housekeeping operated daily, so every morning just past 09:00 we would get a knock and, if you were tired (like us), they would wake you up, and continually knock throughout the day. We appreciated the service but it would be nice to inform the cleaners that we dont need housekeeping everyday. Note to guests checking out prior to 08:00: the express check out box is unsecure at the front of reception (it was just an open letter box allowing anyone to grab the keys to the lodge you were staying in). We had to catch an early bus out of Jasper and were worried about anyone potentially taking the keys and going into our cottage jeopardising us not getting our authorisation payment back.
