Superb

Liked: We liked the old world feel. Food was some of the best we have had on our trip. Service was friendly and efficient, especially considering how busy it can get.
Disliked: It was a much bigger establishment than we expected. It took some time to work out the maze. A bit of fun really.

Beautifull traditional coaching inn with...

Liked: Friendly, attentive and very helpful staff. Beautifully restored old building steeped in history. Great beer garden and very well maintained inside and out
Disliked: Room was a little small and lacked air flow - it was a particularly hot and humid couple of days

Liked: The Bear must be doing something right as I’ve just stayed with a long standing friend this last Monday. At 1800 hours it was approaching difficult to get a seat in the bar.Admittedly the clientele were middle aged to senior,so disposable income is possibly the key.The staff were quite amazing.Smile on their face, polite and no waiting around.
Disliked: My room No.3 was lovely but could hear guests talking either side of me.
