Dog friendly

Liked: Very dog friendly. Dog bed and water bowl. Direct access to outdoor through patio doors with parking space outside room. Dog treats bag. Nice restaurant.
Disliked: Limited plugs near bed.

Exceptional

Liked: Hotel is well-located near the Beamish museum and about a 15 minute drive from Newcastle city centre. Room was a little dated but immaculately clean (and enormous). Restaurant was top-notch both for tea and breakfast, staff were brilliant.

Very enjoyable stay with friendly...

Liked: Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Some small imperfections in the bathroom but nothing too much to complain about just a little tired.
Disliked: Limited menu for my taste.

Great hotel and sfaff ,...

Liked: We took our Labrador with us and due to the layout of the hotel, it meant that the rooms on the ground floor all have a sliding patio door that leads straight outside to where you park up. Really easy when travelling with a dog to nip him out for a quick walk. The room was great with a huge bed. Very clean and even got a doggy snack bag. We had a meal in the evening and the food was great, not the cheapest but the quality was worth the money. The staff were all amazing and really friendly we were okay to take the dog to breakfast with us (sat in bar area) and he even got his own sausage served up in a dish! We will definitely be back.
Disliked: There was nothing about the stay that we didn’t like.

Great location and excellent food

Liked: The location is great, handy for the bright lights of Durham and Newcastle. Great countryside views and a steam train museum on the doorstep. All staff are friendly and very helpful from reception to the lovely Julia at breakfast. Great free parking and easy access.Great food, can fully recommend the Sunday roast.
Disliked: Nothing
