Beacon Hotel & Corporate Quarters

Liked: Comfortable bed; friendly staff; clean room.
Disliked: No refrigerator or microwave; no continental breakfast; hotel parking $40/night.

The dining experience was unimpressive. I also was not aware that the reservation was made via Priceline since I went to what I thought was the Beacon website. So, I have to go an extra step to get a printed receipt.

Liked: My room was comfortable and adequate.
Disliked: My reservation was for a king size bed but I was put into a queen. I'm assuming this is because I arrived well ahead of the standard 3pm checkin and the hotel staff was trying to get me into a room as quickly as possible.

The hotel is very old...

Liked: Location of the hotel is great, it is in walking distance to the tourist attractions. Inside of the hotel is very old, rooms, design, furniture all outdated. Cleanliness needs to be paid full attention. You can see many spider webs under the furniture especially at the lobby. This hotel needs total refurbishment.

Liked: Nice comfortable hotel, about 20 minutes walk to the White House. Good size rooms and good facilities.
Disliked: Room should really have a fridge or minibar, especially during the hot summer months.

Liked: Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean, bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Due to an heatwave the AC has to be switched on all the time. Since the system seems a little outdated, it was so loud it was not that easy to sleep. When switching it off the room in the 8th floor was heating up immediately.
