Liked: Breakfast was excellent. Hotel has a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. Staff were all excellent
Disliked: Could have done with a small container of hand-wash in the bathroom

So disappointed

Disliked: The introduction to the hotel and check in was cringing. Staff had no experience of opening a wine bottle leaving the foil ragged around the bottle top for me to rectify. Salad with the starter was dry, brown and bruised. Having to order dinner and breakfast in advance was irritating.

Liked: The beacon country house hotel is in a beautiful location, surrounded by endless views of the countryside. Its offering is refined and the staff are very welcoming. We had the best stay, and the breakfast was superb too!

Liked: The hotel is in a beautiful country location. The staff were friendly and were ready with local advice. Over our stay, we went through the entire menu and every dish was delicious. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with spectacular views. We cannot praise this hotel highly enough.

Wow what a gem, we...

Liked: Beautiful location with gorgeous views but only short distance to village and coast path. Comfy beds, fab breakfast and superb evening meal together with friendly staff.
