You'll LOVE Staying at Beachwood...

Liked: We are so happy with our visit at Beachwood Condos. No complaints whatsoever! I'm sure we'll be back!
Disliked: Absolutely no complaints!

Perfect gateway for the weekend.

Liked: Spacious cabin. Very clean, quiet. Wonderful view of the ocean from the lookout.

Fine except for shower.

Disliked: Shower was not cleaned after the last guest. Hair was all over walls and in the drain. Yuck!

Liked: The location is good and near the ocean.
Disliked: The walking trail to the beach is not ready yet, so we had to go to the beach access near by using the car.The rooms are old and outdated, the furniture is very old and the sofa is not comfortable. The hot tub is not hot enough it is a warm tub instead. The heater is very noisy and old. The room painting colors are not even and patched with unmathcing colors.

Liked: I loved the kitchenette, the fireplace, and the large rooms. We had everything we needed!
Disliked: I can't think of anything we didn't like!

Nightmare family getaway

Liked: Staff were friendly
Disliked: We chose this due to the good reviews on booking. I wish I would have searched reviews elsewhere. Check in was easy. But this stay was nothing but a nightmare. The rental was very smelly- like old people, very very musty. First our sliding glass door wouldn't lock, we spent valuable time trying to figure out a fix. Staff put wood block in door to *fix* it. There was mice poop under the couch bed mattress. There were tons of ants coming in from the door and under the entertainment stand. Dishes were very dirty with old food stuck to them. Water was discolored and had a smell. Towels did not feel clean and discolored. Bathroom walls were dirty.Place was not stocked with toilet paper (had to ask for more the first day). Bed was super uncomfortable- very old mattress and box spring. Was not able to wash anything sandy off due to their wells. No portable fans. This environment felt very dirty and grimy. We were so happy to leave during checkout. We thought about staying in another location due to how uncomfortable this stay was. Staff were friendly, about the only positive thing. I don't leave negative reviews ever, this getaway was just so uncomfortable and stressful.

Disliked: *Wifi signal was pretty bad. In living room ok, in bedroom nonexistent (any of the options they provided)*Most of all: lacking cleanliness. At first glance it looks fine, but when taking a closer look there were several issues.When we first took a look at the bungalow, we immediately saw that there was hair & soap pieces in the sink, hair on the toilet bowl, hair in the shower. The fridge had not been cleaned properly and had crumbs.We told them about it, someone came to fix it.When we returned the fridge was cleaned, so was the shower and toilet, but not the sink (picture shows AFTER cleaning)Later we discovered a few more issues: a stain on the top sheet, towels were washed and plentiful but also had permanent stains on them.We found more hair sticking to the wall.In the kitchen, the drip pans were lined with aluminium foil, but had burned food scraps in them so when using the stove it burnt further.There was only a used sponge (though not looking dirty) provided for dishwashing. The drying rack for dishes had a few food left overs sticking to it still as well. The sofa was quite worn, the bed had quite some give but was ok. Yes we could have complained about all of this again, but at that time we didn’t want to have even more hassle and just wanted to rest. So we cleaned some parts ourselves and just used whatever we felt comfortable using.When taking a walk to go to the beach, we discovered the connecting bridge (not sure if it’s part of the property or not) was broken (see picture). When we asked about it we were told that it was ok to use the bridge as long as only one person at the time uses it. We tried, stayed dry, but it was very wabble and not sturdy at all. It did not feel very safe to cross.With a little more attention to detail and especially in the department of cleaning, this property could do much better.
