Liked: Room with an ocean view was surreal, thank you Brian and Bridget. Coconut shrimp is amazing if your eating at the restaurant. It was a perfect stay at an outstanding price!

Close to everything.

Liked: The location is good.I believe this is the closest hotel to the Atlantic Highlands Rec. Area and beaches.There are many good restaurants nearby.
Disliked: The room was filthy. The inside windows, walls & doors were dirty with handprints.The fridge and room stunk from the previous person’s food.Broken fixtures in bath.The beds are hard.The hotel is generally dirty and run down inside and out.They charge astronomical rates and the room is not sanitized. This is a problem.No continental breakfast.

Staff was friendly and room...

Liked: Great location and comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean.
Disliked: The windowsill was filthy with crumbs. There was chocolate smeared on the windows, so this was not cleaned before we came in. The floors were Sandy. The beds and bathroom were clean. The room is labeled to sleep six but there is no way that this would be comfortable the pullout couch could only sleep one, but it was right up against the air conditioner. It should not be marketed as a room for six people.

Liked: We really enjoyed everything except our room. The room was very outdated and small. We will stay here again, but will be sure to book a room in the main hotel and not the old motel part of the property.

Liked: Breakfast was great, could use a couple more options like eggs over easy.
Disliked: For the money I paid the rooms could of be nicer or just lower the price for the old outdated rooms.

Relaxing and welcoming hotel with...

Liked: The location for us was perfect! Beach across the street, huge pool and beautiful river views. The small restaurant /bar on site was perfect, FREE coffee in the AM and water available by the pool. Extremely friendly staff. We arrived a few hours before check-in as we were able to use the facilities and the beach across the street and we're lucky enough to find out our room was already. In addition the day we checked out, we were also welcome to stay and use the facilities.
Disliked: Simple fixes for the room: more hangers : there were only 2. More hooks for towels : suits and long mirror could be mounted inside closet door not bathroom Finally, we only had one channel for TV: wonky internet.

Great location with stunning view

Liked: The rooms were spacious and the beds very good. The view just stunning facing the ocean!
Disliked: We really liked it, specifically the location between ocean and river. But for the price one would not expect plastic chairs around the pool and a little filthy shower curtain. But those are the only points.
