Superb

Liked: Great location and staff; clean comfortable rooms.
Disliked: Stairs up to 3rd and 4th floor are very narrow

Overall lovely old , historic...

Liked: Location, breakfast, host, easy parking
Disliked: Difficult to maneuver around room with such a large bed I. Small space, TV was difficult to figure out, Wi-Fi inconsistent

Going the wrong way…

Liked: Convenient to beach
Disliked: New owners, although modernizing lobby missed the tone of Ocean Grove. Leaving bicycles and baggo on the front lawn, a Tiki bar on the porch, is more Belmar than OG. A “new” unimaginative dull paint job makes the place look older, not in a good way.

A great place to stay...

Liked: It is steps from the beach, and a short walk to Asbury Park. The area is quite walkable. Free parking is ample everywhere in Ocean Grove. If you are a fan of Victorian Architecture, take the time to walk around and enjoy the eclectic Victorian architecture. Lots of great restaurants nearby! Not far from the music venues, restaurants, bars, and clubs in Asbury Park, but you don't need to pay for parking in Asbury Park!
Disliked: The breakfast is not great, but there are several restaurants within walking distance. Our room was on the top floor, which involved climbing 2 sets of of narrow stairs. It was quite tiring to get all the way up there, so we did not use our room much during our stay. FYI, Ocean Grove is a dry town, so if you're hoping to grab a nightcap before bed, you need to do that in Asbury Park. We did not use the beach as you need to pay for beach access. We were only there for a short time, so spending a full day at the beach was not in our plans. We would have liked to take a walk along the beach, but had to settle for walking along the boardwalk instead.

Good a nice central place...

Liked: Check in and out was very easy. Staff was INCREDIBLY responsive.
Disliked: At night the sound of the generators or AC units in the building was very loud and made it hard to sleep.
