Liked: The hotel was a stone's throw from the beach (less then 1/4 of a block). I could look out at the beach from the bed. Though my room was located on the 4th floor.
Disliked: The stairs to the 4th floor.

Great hotel on great beach
Liked: Great location with a wonderful sea breeze on front porch which is one of our favorite spots. Baths and rooms very clean and very comfy beds. Breakfast is served and has everything you need and Bernadette makes the best fresh eggs! This is not a luxury hotel but if you want a clean and quiet place to stay at a wonderful beach you can't go wrong!

Excellent!
Liked: The Beachliner is an old rooming house style hotel that that has been completely renovated and is bright and modern and beachy. It is two houses from the beach on the main road into town where you can easily walk to the shops, restaurants, the famous Methodist auditorium and "tent village" and even easily to Asbury Park, over the walking bridge. Bernadette makes a great continental + breakfast and has coffee, cookies and freshly made lemon/limeade in the lobby all day. You can sit on the front porch and see the ocean or you can sit on one of the several higher story back porches and watch the ocean and the boats.
Disliked: There is no elevator and the steps are narrow so ask Bernadette about lower floor rooms if you have mobility issues.
