I enjoyed my stay, the...

Liked: Your location was ideal, parking was doable, the rooms and main lobby were very clean. The continental breakfast was very good. And thank you for the water bottles, they came in handy. Bathrooms were clean and efficient, plenty of hot water!
Disliked: The steps carrying suitcases up and down, was not pleasant, especially for seniors. The handrails are short and did not give a secure, safe sense when descending. The room doors are old and heavy wood so they do not shut flush or easily... so we heard doors slamming most of the evenings and early mornings. Perhaps a sign on the doors to shut them slowly and quietly will help. The rooms are small with no closet or hooks to hang garments on. No dressers, no desks, so very little lateral space.

My wife and I wanted...

Liked: It’s a nice property. It also appeared to be getting new furniture and bit of renovation. Breakfast was a nice touch. The location is unbeatable.
Disliked: Not really anything I could point to.

We enjoyed our stay and...

Liked: Location is perfect, right across from the boardwalk. Our 3rd stay at Beachliner and will always come back here. Clean, comfortable, excellent staff especially Bernadette - she is a gem.
Disliked: Not a huge thing but might be a good idea to invest in a few parking spots dedicated to your guests. In the summer, the beach goers take up all the spots. Though it opens up after 5 pm, a bit of an inconvenience.

This was an important trip...

Liked: The hotel was cute and the view from our room was beautiful. The added cornhole outside was really cute. The kids loved the homemade cookies.
Disliked: Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel didn’t match what was advertised online. The room looked nothing like the photos, and for the price we paid, we expected much better. The furniture was broken, the TV didn’t work, and we couldn’t even use the remote to turn off the lights without affecting the fan — which made it really hard to get comfortable.More disappointing was the feeling that our kids were seen as a burden rather than welcomed guests, which stood out even more in a town that otherwise felt very family-friendly. We tried to avoid spending time in the room because of this, especially after finding bath towels that were clearly not clean and had someone else’s hair on them. It was a letdown overall, and we didn’t feel the warmth or hospitality we were hoping for.

Liked: Location, breakfast, host, easy parking

Going the wrong way…

Liked: Convenient to beach
Disliked: New owners, although modernizing lobby missed the tone of Ocean Grove. Leaving bicycles and baggo on the front lawn, a Tiki bar on the porch, is more Belmar than OG. A “new” unimaginative dull paint job makes the place look older, not in a good way.
