Beach House Resort Hilton Head Island

Great location, friendly staff, needs...

Liked: The staff was great, all very friendly and professional. The maintenance staff was quick to fix a problem in our room. Location was great for the beach and also local restaurants and shops. Everything was a few min walk away! Because of the prior maintenance issue I asked if we could extended our check out time. The front desk immediately offered a later time which I appreciated.
Disliked: We were told a room was ready when we arrived around 1:00 PM, however they were going to charge us an additional $75.00 if we wanted to check in early. I’ve never experienced such a thing. All other hotels I’ve stayed with have let me check in early (if the room was ready) with no extra charge. We didn’t pay the fee and walked around town and waited until we could get into the room at 3. After traveling since 4 am it would have been nice to get into our room to freshen up or relax. What’s a 2 hour difference to them? I feel they are taking advantage of people by charging an extra free when they have rooms ready to be used. The A/C didn’t work properly our first night. However maintenance was able to replace it with a new unit quickly. The hair dryer was not very hot or powerful so it took a while to dry my hair.

Liked: Right on beach. Private pool
Disliked: Menu at restaurant on site called The Porch was limited. The web site was completely false. They didn’t answer phone for takeout.

Liked: Loved the location and the facilities. The live music and food and drinks at the Tiki Hut were great.

Liked: The resort was in a perfect location. Upon arrival, the rooms were very clean.
Disliked: No one ever came to clean the rooms. We received fresh towels everyday.
