I felt at Home! Just...
Liked: Everything was amazing! The attention of the owners and the staff was above and beyond! The room was modern, big, and fresh cookies warm were available upon arrival!Breakfast just superb!If you want to feel at a luxurious home with attention to all details, stay here!

Liked: The hospitality on arrival was exemplary. We arrived early - not a problem. Invited to relax by the canal on the terrace. Offered drinks and snacks to refresh ourselves at no extra cost. I booked another night. Very lovely.

Beautiful B&B, incredible hospitality
Liked: Everything was amazing, Lin was such a lovely and welcoming host and really made it so special for us. She recommended some lovely things to do around Bruges which we took her up on. The little touches in the room (cakes in the afternoon) were so thoughtful, the bed was sooo comfy and the room beautifully decorated.
Disliked: A really minor thing, but due to the nature of the property (and our room being below another) we could hear activity in the other rooms such as doors slamming/music/people walking around. Nothing a pair of earplugs wouldn't solve though if you're a light sleeper!

Wow !
Liked: Huis Koning is one of a kind, a five star hotel quality B&B that retains the intimacy and warmth and comfort of home. This is down to the all-encompassing care, attention, dedication and dare I say it, love, of Lynn, the owner. In two nights, I lost count of the times I shook my head in amazement at some new twist to her creativity and effort. The smell of fresh bread at six in the morning. Flowers in the bathroom. Apple cakes freshly made for tea. A plethora of choices of food. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Cheeses and local meats. Three types of bread (a five in the morning job…see dedication) Eggs to order. Her attention to detail is unbounded. Her recommendations for restaurants bang-on. The best B&B we have ever stayed in across a lifetime of travels. Truly world class. There. I’ve said it. Bravissimo!
Disliked: We had to leave.

Liked: Everything was perfect, 3 minute walk to the main square...Huis was exceptionally clean the facilities were second to none the attention to detail fantastic, food great and Lynn was the perfect host....seriously recommend this place you will not be disappointed....we loved it

Liked: Lynn was incredibly welcoming. The recommendations before our trip were really useful. The check in with a drink and snacks was a lovely way to start our trip. The daily baked goods left in our room were a lovely surprise. Such a beautiful and tranquil space too, sat on the canal. Would definitely recommend.

Honestly the best B&B experience...
Liked: We picked B&B Huis Koning based on the excellent reviews, price, and location, so I guess we had pretty high expectations. We were looking for something delightful and relaxing, a short walk from the city / museums / restaurants, simple enough to get to from the train station, and with a good breakfast. It ticked every box easily - the location is great, the room was cosy and quiet, and the B&B itself is incredibly calming and thoughtfully decorated. I have to say that all of the reviews are justified. It's clean throughout, the breakfast is an experience in of itself with daily home-made bread, home-made jams and preserves, and plenty of options. Lynn is the star though - sadly, sometimes I think the person behind the B&B is something we have taken for granted in the past - when booking it's not something we've prioritised thinking about. Lynn completely reset expectations here - she was incredibly friendly, warm, welcoming, and super easy to talk to. It's clear a lot of love goes into the B&B and it's a very personal experience. It's easy to see why people return here. I'd happily recommend it to friends and I'm not sure I'd even consider staying anywhere else in Bruges. As an example, my partner and I are vegan and I'm also gluten intolerant. We'd mentioned being vegan during the booking, but I forgot to mention being gluten-free. Lynn provided oat milk and yoghurts, pointed out which bits were vegan friendly during breakfast, and we always had oat milk in the fridge in the room to use with the coffee/tea facilities. I mentioned gluten on the first breakfast and gluten free crackers appeared, and with subsequent breakfasts we had multiple options of gluten free bread.By far the best B&B experience we've ever had.
