Baymont Inn & Suites Merrillville

The check in was terrible - had to wait until she took 2 calls. Breakfast was undesirable. I'll never stay at this location ever again. I've had a much better experience in MI and MN.

Liked: Location was good.
Disliked: Dirty, shabby, no blanket on bed, it smelled terrible, all the lamp bases were broken but they did turn on.

Liked: Nothing about the hotels was good at all
Disliked: The staffs was clean the hotel good either the elevator stops working and the bed wasn't clean and tv wasn't working and the breakfast wasn't good for me and my husband

Disliked: My room wall had holes in it. My room smelled like mildew, the chair of my room was tore up.

Liked: The location was good and the cost of the stay was good in comparison to others, however you get what you pay for.
Disliked: The smell inside the room was terrible. Very stale air, had a hard time breathing at night. Smell of pot throughout the night kept me awake and made me nauseous. Very dark and dingy. Didn’t even shower the next morning because everything just felt gross in the room, and we are not picky people. The only thing I liked was the morning waffle but I don’t think they clean the machine every day because we were first there and still burnt waffle in machine. And the coffee was yucky. I would not stay here again. I should have read reviews before I booked this. Big tear in our curtain and our furniture was tacky and sticky feeling and there was obvious dog pee on chair.

Disliked: Dirty room, could not use wifi, pill was closed, staff was not friendly, room was dirty, lamps had to be plugged in and then unplugged, microwave was filthy, couldn't call front desk, mold in bathroom

Liked: Absolutely nothing
Disliked: I ended up not staying here because the place was horrible. The room had mold, the carpet was falling off the base of the wall and was stained. Dirty bedding, holes in the wall. A chair that was falling apart and should have been replaced a long time ago. A shower grab bar the was broken and only hanging on by one side. They refused to give me a refund or any type of receipt. I would not recommend this place to anyone, it should be shut down.

Not very nice

Liked: The rooms need a little updating.The air conditioning needs to have a thermostat instead of low and high. Otherwise it was comfortable.
Disliked: The air.Conditioner was either low or hi, you couldn't set it to 74, 75.It was just blowing I didn't like it. The bathroom needs cleaning and the towels are small and very ruff.The elevator was creepy and noisy. For the money I paid, I expected better than a dive place.
