Appalling hotel customer service No...

Liked: Nothing. Generator noise and vibration was excessive and therefore can't say what I liked as noise spoilt my stay. When I asked to change rooms I was told that no rooms were available and that I should book another hotel and that a refund would be made. After booking another hotel and putting all our luggage back in the car I asked the hotel if they could confirm the refund would be made. I was told that they had made the refund at their end however I would need to contact Booking.com so that Booking.com could authorize it.
Disliked: Despite booking.com saying on the phone that they would refund within 5 days I have since been messaged by their customer service that I need to ring the hotel. I am reluctant to do this after reading very poor reviews on hotel's own website and the response to the reviews by hotel. As I need something in writing I wanted to send an email, however, no email address was available for hotel and messages sent to booking.com don't appear to be copied anywhere.

Nice comfortable hotel

Liked: Clean comfortable room with nice beds. Good breakfast.
Disliked: Only one elevator for four floors. When cleaning staff starts working in the morning it is very difficult to get your luggage to the first floor.
