Awesome hotel for a great...

Liked: This hotel was a bit "worn" but it was very clean and comfortable! Its the 1st hotel that ive seen, that took care of all types of guests! There was covered outdoor smoking areas for the smokers and an actual nice lawn area for the dog owners ( instead of a field full of weeds). The staff were very pleasant and friendly as all get out!
Disliked: Nothing could have been better. In this price range you wont find a better hotel.

Disliked: The building on the outside has not been taken care of. No elevator to get to the second floor. The desk clerk could use some training on how to interact with clients. The room is rundown-ceiling peeling, tile in bathroom cracked.

Staff needs to communicate better

Liked: Upon check in the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean.
Disliked: Fire alarm went off four different times. The entire second floor filled with smoke and a horrible lingering smell of burnt popcorn. The staff did not, at any time, make an attempt to reach out to the guests and let them know if it was a fire or just burnt popcorn. The guest had to talk amongst themselves and check in on the other guests to find out.

Liked: The check-in clerk was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. Everything worked as needed. We had a king size room with the smallest TV I have seen in a while...jsut didn't fit the room. There are fast food restaurants and a grocery store within a short walking distance. It is a pet friendly facility with a nice big grassy area for a potty area.
Disliked: The outside of the property looked a bit old to me. The smoking area is right outside the back door and the doggy potty area...not what I want to be around when loading/unloading the car or taking the dog outside.The breakfast was a major disappointment. They had very runny scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy with no biscuits for hot items. The cereal selection was minimal and cereal was spilled all over the counter. The milk was warm was well. There didn't appear to be anyone monitoring the breakfast area. There were two people working the front desk but they were involved in other conversations and didn't seem to be paying any attention. We went to McDonalds for breakfast as the hotels options were disappointing.

Liked: I was there for a teachers conference and this facility was the closest one that had availability. Morning staff was very appreciative and friendly.
Disliked: Dog food and hair was found on the floor in our room, bath tub was repaired with silicone but they left a sharp edge which could have created a deep gash if rubbed against, the swimming pool had many missing tiles and there was a lot of rust along the windows of the pool/hot tub. No towels were available for the pool/hot tub.
