Superb
Liked: I like the room withbalcony. Was perfect.We had good view. Room nices and clean.pool okay..Every thing was great,except the breakfast is no good .No to much food for eat..
Disliked: Breakfast was bad,to much sweets thing. Orange juice tested terrible No eggs, Gaidos hotel have better breakfast .

Bad experience
Disliked: Hello,My name is Fahim Sedarous . I stayed for two nights with my family and friends at the Baymont by Wyndham hotel located at 2826 63rd St, Galveston, Texas 77551. We had four children with us (ages 4 and 14), and we booked our stay through Booking.com.I was in Room 312, We stayed for two nights—June 21st and 22nd.First Night:We experienced minor issues, the staff was NOT friendly at all. They refused to give us towels for the pool, the rooms were nasty and even the lamps were rusty and filthy, there was a crazy cockroach infestation, the breakfast consisted of stale bread, and old cereal, and worst of all our room was straight in front of a cemetery?!Second Night:We returned from the beach around 10 PM to find a power outage affecting the entire area, but our hotel was the only one not taking action. I went to the front desk and asked if the hotel had a generator—the answer was no. I asked if they had any battery-powered lights—again, no. I asked if we could be moved to another hotel—the answer was also no.When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told he was at home and wouldn’t come in until the next day, which is ridiculous because under a circumstance as such were majority of everyone was leaving or trying to find a solution in the front desk. In which the guy in the front desk was absolutely useless! I explained that I had a 4-year-old who was crying and screaming and a daughter who has a phobia of the dark. I asked if we could leave our luggage in the room overnight and return in the morning to collect it, and the clerk said that would be fine and we’d be compensated. I made it clear we would not be paying for a night we didn’t stay, and he said that was “no problem.”We attempted to return to our room to sleep, but the children were terrified—especially since our room had a view of a cemetery, which made things worse for my 14 year-old daughter.

We really enjoyed our stay....
Liked: Loved that it was walking distance to beach. The room was great and the balcony was a nice surprise.
Disliked: Did not like the breakfast choices. Only ate there one time.

Never in my 58 years...
Liked: The power went out at 9 pm and no solution was offered. Power did not return until 3:30 am. The night employee was no help at all other than telling us the manager would be in the in morning and take care of everything. This morning, no manager and the assistant manager was no help. No refund, no discount. Said the manager was not coming in and that there was nothing to be done. They has no backup generators in the hotel and her response was "alot of places don't have them." Her name was Jessie. Did not give me a receipt. Told me I would get a receipt from you all and I would have to contact you all for a refund or discount. I contacted you all last night at midnight and I was told that the hotel would take care of it.

Superb
Liked: The location, cleanliness, comfort and view. It was very peaceful. Not far from the seawall.
Disliked: The breakfast area is somewhat cramped. Not really enough room with all the tables. I have anxiety and couldn't go in there with all the people that were there.
