Baymont by Wyndham Des Moines North

Not a bad experience. I would stay there again for that price. Did not feel uncomfortable. Shuttle service would have been nice.

Liked: Beds were so comfortable.
Disliked: Needs updated; not in a great part of town.

I would never recommend this hotel too anybody!! We booked the Baymont on NE 14th St. When we walked in it smelled like a nursing home it was soo small and nothing like the pictues. There were linens laying around. To get to our room we had to drive around back to another building our room looked like it was from the 70s or something and was soo small the ceiling was only a cpl inches from our head there was barely any lighting at all. I didn't even feel safe to set down it was such a gross place for safe for my well being at that. I would never recommend this place to anybody at all!!

Liked: Go to check in and the lady tells me she gave my room away, it was literally 4pm so not even late. Left me and two kids scrambling to find a new hotel last minute

Liked: Nothing! This was the worst hotel I have ever been in!
Disliked: It was dirty! The pool had no chairs or tables and there were towels available. The security locks on the buildings didn’t lock anyone could get in. There were dented walls and doors with holes in them. Several windows were broken out or cracked. The hallways had garbage all over the place you had to walk around it. The room was dirty poop stains on the beds. No towels or pillows were in the room. There was no top cover on the beds just dirty sheets. The lights in the bathroom were burnt out. When we asked the front desk for pillows, blankets and lights. 6 hours later we still didn’t have them when we asked the front desk about them again they said they didn’t have any blankets, pillows or lightbulbs and there was nothing they could do about that.

Disliked: We had 3 people and only 2 towels and wash clothes. I had to argue with the staff to get a third set.and we didn't have a hand towel. The floor of the tub was not clean. The air conditioner unit was squeaking bad enough that I had to turn it off in the middle of the night to sleep.

Disliked: Dirty. Stains on shower curtain. Toilet don’t flush, could not get anyone to fix it we had to plunge our ourselves. Hallways and staircases filthy, step around debris on carpetAt breakfast,. Cereal but out of milk. Out of tea. OJ dispenser gross.

Liked: After a 12 hour drive and property never answered their phone to confirm late arrival we were told they could not accommodate our booking.com reservation made in May and confirmed again 3 days prior to arrival. Left is in a bad situation at 10 pm at night
Disliked: Communication, accommodates original request, offer assistance ….. horrible!

Liked: Was pretty clean and nice when they put me in the right one
Disliked: They put me in the wrong room I had to wait in line for an hour to check in then the guy made me come back an hour later and I booked the room in the morning check-in was 3:00 I had to wait till 4:00 then woke up there was no breakfast the staff isn't really good at keeping stuff stocked or keeping house in the room we need to work on a lot of stuff

Had to call police for me and 4 other guests waiting in lobby. Refused to give us our change after we paid cash. But noted that they took exact change!
