Good hotel; close to my son's dorms; anyone needing to stay for a huskies game only a 10 minute walk to stadium.
Liked: Very accommodating staff; staff very polite.
Disliked: Room could have been a little bit cleaner - some questionable substances found on the walls.

Disliked: Look at 5 rooms before I found one that was Clean Hotel is not very clean I understand is under construction on a remodel but that has nothing to do with keeping the rooms clean

It was subpar for sure....
Liked: Location for my purposes.
Disliked: The manager?s combative attitude with other patrons upset about cleanliness.

Disliked: My room was not clean!!! Still had lots of garbage from the person who stayed there before me.

Disliked: Bathtub drain was extremely slow. Water pressure was poor. Breakfast was sad.

Liked: This was the most disgusting hotel. Dirty room. Had to be moved. Pee all over toilet and bathroom floor. Hair in bed. Looked slept in. All three rooms. So disappointing. Should get my money back.

Not worth it
Liked: There was a pool, though a bit dingy, and the hotel had it?s own breakfast room.
Disliked: The staff doesn?t seem to be trained properly, I had ordered a king size room a week in advance which was $68 and instead they gave me a room with two beds and charged me $85 with no explanation. Never staying here again

My room was comfortable and...
Liked: The location was perfect, I traveled back to my hometown for a reunion and the gathering place was right next door to the hotel.
Disliked: I grew up in Dekalb and each time I come home, there are always changes, old buildings closed or torn down and new places go up, so when I arrived at the hotel, at first I was a bit worried because when I pulled into the parking lot, it sorta looked like it was either still under construction or possibly closed down? Nothing about the exterior seemed quite ?finished? no landscape, no marketing, nothing welcoming. (Please note, I worked in the hospitality industry for 12 years, for the Sheraton, Marriott and Holiday Inn, so I sorta have an eye for what I should see or experience) my first thought was ?dang, I?m glad I?m not the GM of this place with a surprise visit from corporate? There was a woman standing outside of the entrance off to the side, by the pile of gravel/dirt & backhoe, smoking a cigarette, as I approached the door, she called out and asked if I was checking in, I said yes and she told me she would be right in. She came in quickly after I entered the lobby and was friendly and efficient enough and my check in went smoothly. The exterior lobby and hallways leading to the room was the same experience as the exterior. Barren lobby, the local activities rack and that you can find the places and things to do in the area was mostly bare, i get it, there is maybe not much to do in the area, so get a smaller rack or eliminate it, but the barren wack just gave the extended message that this property was ignored. There was a good housekeeping cart with assorted bedding hanging out by the vending machines, like a task abandoned. A sign on the ice machine said broken, ask the front desk for ice. The hallway leading to my room had dirty carpet, scuffed walls and missing baseboards. ( this observation was from my experience walking with GM many years ago and pointing out the things from a guests eyes, I guess I never forgot it?) My room was was clean & comfortable enough and had everything I needed for my stay.

Nice at moments and the...
Liked: The waffles, but no juice(oj)
Disliked: The manager was completely unreasonable. She wouldn?t listen to me and was very rude and honestly scary. I am a 47 yr old woman and I felt like a child when she spoke to me and she absolutely would not budge from n our check out saying that?s my the way things are done. Then when I complained about the constant banging that woke me and my children up that there?s construction which I was not made aware of this upon arrival. I asked if we could get a later check out due to construction noise and because we had no where to go . Due to a domestic dispute at my home and I needed to take shelter for my Children. So I had to pay 25$ to stay till 3 pm by we were interrupted by staff over and over because they didn?t know I had a late ck out and then I spoke to maintenance for several minutes because we didn?t have a phone in our room and he came up to my room I never requested a phone and then he came in to put in the phone so I asked if it was okay if we were 15 min later dues to interruptions and she said again ?no that is not how we do things? All I o it is the while staff was amazing but this woman manager made our already stressful situation worse! I Sending this because I?ve been in customer service and sales for over 25 years and I know there are people made for this type of work and love to be of service but this new manager made me feel like I wasn?t welcome and could careless about me as a person! I will never stay there again. And from what I heard, I?m not the only one who feels this waay! Thank you
