Manager called cops on us...
Disliked: Manager called the cops because we asked for them to give us correct room or give us a refund…. They refused to give refund even after kicking us off property. We were calm and not asking for too much- but she didn’t want to give a refund and that she didn’t have to deal with our attitude when we asked for a refund (we didn’t have an attitude).

Liked: The staff was amazing! Truly a great team working together. They were able to make last minute accommodations for my family during a power outage. The empathy and care was truly refreshing.

Disliked: We had a confirmed reservation through this app and when we got there they told us the hotel was oversold and did not have a room for us

Liked: The beds and linens were comfortable and cozy.
Disliked: The hotel was dirty. There’s no other way to explains. The beds were fine with clean sheets but everything else needs a deep cleaning. Breakfast during the week was lacking. The dispenser for the waffle mix needs a deep cleaning or to be thrown out and purchase a new one before someone get sick.

Disliked: Firstly, I spoke with Ashton on March 2 and requested for a roll-away bed. She said, "Yes, we can do that because you are in a king room." I checked in Friday morning at 12:30 pm and asked for a roll-away bed and was told there was no roll-away bed. Our friend's room was not cleaned and she had to be moved to another room. That was the first red flag. We were also told that the manager quit on 4/24. We also found out that the shower doesn't work, and the drain in the tub doesn't work. I requested it at 9 am with the front desk, and when we came back at 10 pm, NO WORK was done. I gave them the time to fix it. I called the front desk the next morning, and Ashton was very defensive and ALWAYS talked over you SHE DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE! She has absolutely no customer service skills. She said that they had hired a manager on 4/25. Amazing - NOT! But she doesn't want to give me her name or let me talk to her over the phone. I was also told that their maintenance guy quit that day, 4/25. How can a hotel run without a maintenance guy? Also, if they valued their customers, they would have already called a plumbing company and fixed the issue. After all the rudeness, ASHTON, she TOLD ME that they will refund me one day of stay, but I have to leave the hotel right away and said, "GOOD LUCK WITH FINDING ANOTHER ROOM SINCE THERE'S AN EVENT GOING ON THIS WEEKEND!" I called Double Tree, and they have rooms available, and more rooms are available in the hotels down the street. Fast forward, I was able to talk to Ted from the city management office and they said they will start an investigation Monday. I had forwarded the videos and pictures to them. I also kick myself on the butt because I didn't realized they were on the "STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO STAY AWAY FROM" list of hotels for the event. So if you are new to Battle Creek, trust me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! There are crawling spiders here as well.
