Baymont by Wyndham Austin University Area

I was worried about the neighborhood because of prior reviews but we had a great experience. No loud guests or shady people in the parking lot. Best of all, it shares a parking lot with Amaya's Taco Village - great food you can walk to. Overall, a great experience for a basic motel. Clean, comfy room.

Liked: Good price; friendly and helpful check in staff.
Disliked: Saturday morning clerk not so friendly.

Bad experience I'm not sure...

Liked: The location was okay.
Disliked: I booked the room with booking.com . I checked in the door lock was broken the room had no microwave, no mini fridge ,no telephone, and no remote control and the oce bucket had a hole in the bottom of it. So I called the office the guy said I had booked through the app and the room i got is what paid for. This was redidiclous. It was the worst room I've stayed in thus far.

Disliked: Place is rundown, there are noisy guests at all hours. I felt unsafe when someone knocked at 4 am. The help desk was not responding calls at that time.

Disliked: Nasty they have drug dealers on property they have prostitution on property and then have the nerve to kick regular people out rhat don’t have nothing to do with that the whole back side full of the mess

The operators of the hotel...

Liked: The operators of this hotel are fraudulent and use deceptive trade practices. They claimed there was no reservation and that the rates for great guests like us was $100 more than our reservation. The rooms were very run down, dirty and with many gaps around the doors allowing the plentiful insects to enter the rooms. If it was not for the Wyndham name, one would not even consider stopping at this dump. Weatherstripping around the doors would seem to be such a common item and required by the building code was just not tight and not functioning if it was even present. Room after room had the same defects. There was no room that had a functioning door.
