Baymont by Wyndham Augusta West

I thought I could get past the hair that was left on the bed but it went downhill from there. We had to go get towels the first night. There was only one set. They were renovating which alone wasn’t a problem - the fact that they worked all night was the problem! When we were able to fall asleep, the noise woke us up. Saturday morning: breakfast should be advertised as a "snack" and there was no coffee! We went to the front desk to inquire and was told we could pay for it in the snack area. I said I already paid enough for the room. She finally told us to fix a K-cup. We decided to check out and were not going to leave a review until things took yet, another turn for the worse. They wouldn’t check us out saying, "the room can not be canceled." We called Priceline who said it could be canceled but the manager had to approve it. They were told she would not be in until Monday. I went back in and asked to speak to the manager (her car was in the manager spot) and was told she had just got there and probably would not come out to speak to me. The clerk spoke with her and then told me she wouldn’t approve a refund and wouldn’t come out. So I asked for franchise number. Upon calling them I was told Priceline could issue a refund. When I didn’t want to take her up on a $100 off my next trip - she hung up on me! Next I called customer service. Very pleasant but couldn’t do much. She said the manager had to approve it. We filed a complaint. We were visiting Evans, GA for an event at 8:00pm. We drove all the way home afterward. This was the worst experience for both of us!

Liked: The rooms were pretty decent for the price
Disliked: I am a disabled veteran. They had no rooms on the first floor for me and the elevators were malfunctioning. After letting them know that I got locked out of my rooms a few times and having to climb up and down the stairs for my entire stay, I was assaulted by the elevator door once the “FIXED IT”. It hit me in my disabled shoulder and I have been numb in my neck and my shoulder ever since. When I let them know, they just said they would give me a call back. It seems that they are in the middle of being taken over by IHG, but instead of spending money on expensive signs, perhaps they should focus more on fixing the elevator and making sure that their guests are safe and do not get injured during their stay.

My stay has awful, so...

Liked: The location was nice and the breakfast was decent.
Disliked: The rooms are very poorly insulated and we could hear the neighbors beside us and across the hall. Doors slammed all night. If you actually want to sleep this hotel is not recommended at all!!!!!! Signs for a quiet time would be a huge plus!

Liked: Staff was very friendly. The accommodations were under renovation. A bit frustrating trying to figure out which elevators were working. Elevators were at the end of each hall.
Disliked: We were not told at the time of booking, the hotel was under renovations. Elevators out of order, bathrooms on 1st floor out of order. Frustrating

It was okay but nothing...

Liked: The room was clean. Loved the coffee maker in the lobby. The location felt pretty safe.
Disliked: The place was under construction but I think I was warned online maybe. The breakfast was not great, no waffle maker. Little things like our fridge in our room not being plugged in & having to scan the TV for channels to be able to watch it, were annoying things when paying almost $200 for one night's stay. The location can be a little hard to find.
