A spacious room, yet cold to start with

Liked: The b&b is run by two welcoming hosts. It comes with a free parking for 3 cars. I had a spacious room with a private bathroom (a choice of two shower heads), a selection of teas and coffees, and a spacious bedside table top,. It was very quiet at night. Also, there was a nice selection of food offered for breakfast. An added bonus - there were four chattering budgies downstairs.
Disliked: The room was cold on arrival (I booked just over an hour before my arrival and was told that the hosts were not aware of the booking). The room and the bathroom took 4 hours to warm up properly, so not a very cosy start to the stay. The place looked generally clean, but there were areas that could have been improved (there were stains on the towel, dirt spots in the wash basin, the mugs needed rinsing out, etc.).. The mattress felt rather hard and uneven. Also, for those with disabilities: be aware that the stairs are rather steep.
