Great stay at Battlesteads

Liked: Lovely little touches, like fruit and biscuits, plenty of teas, coffee and hot chocolate, also loved the toiletries, smelled Devine! Food was delicious.
Disliked: Shame about the observatory, we only booked to look through the big telescopes but unfortunately we did not have time!

I like the place ,...

Liked: Been there a few times , always been good, Room had a doggy smell , had a long day so went to bed early, stopped on the down floor, noise was terrible, some people shouting and didn’t stop till 11pm ,
Disliked: As above !

Battlesteads hotel

Liked: Great location. Comfortable clean rooms. Meals good not top restaurant but better than pub fare. Staff helpful. Dark observatory tour very good. Roy was excellent
Disliked: One of the restaurant staff young girl, part of family, seemed really cheesed off. Didn't try to interact with customers and didn't smile, made one feel uncomfortable. A shame as all the other staff were lovely. Don't expect lots of chat and if it was one occasion OK but each time we saw her the same attitude.
