Pleasant

Liked: It was in a centralized location and several restaurants were located close to the property. They had a few cool amenities like the climbing wall and the hot tub.
Disliked: The price was to high for what you got. It felt like a old motel that had been spit shined. If the price had been lower the review would have been better. We stayed in several different places that week that were much nicer and less expensive.

Won't be booking again -...

Liked: The location is the only reason to stay here - if your into Pearl Street or have a kiddo at CU. If location isn't important there are other 'motel' types in the area that are cheaper and offer better value. The amenities are OK, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, small bar etc. Theme is trendy enough but lacked true comfort. The burger stand next door has the best veggie burgers - and the farmers market is conveniently located down the street.
Disliked: It's 2018 - rooms should have a small refrigerator. The concept is great but the carpet was soiled, the bathroom walls were peeling, no hand soap at the sink. Found hair (not mine) on what looked like otherwise clean bedding. The walls are incredibly thin. The person who stayed above me sounded like they weighed 400 pounds walking around - which they did not when I saw them in the morning.

A little unorganized, but cute...

Liked: The place is very fun and cute. The overall camping theme is present throughout the property, and added to the overall atmosphere. The location was excellent, easy to walk to Pearl St, easy to drive to all the best parts of Boulder. The in-room coffee was the best I've ever had (an instant pour-over, how cool is that?). I wish I could have taken advantage of the rock climbing wall, but I forgot my climbing shoes - this is such a cool unique thing to have in a hotel though!
Disliked: The staff seemed a little inexperienced and unenthusiastic. The breakfast experience was poor as they were out of almost everything and couldn't seem to get much to work right. The bed was not as comfortable as I would expect for the price of the place. There was a fitness room, but it was extremely tiny with 2 stationary bikes and not much else. All things considered, we still enjoyed our time here and those were just minor issues that I didn't mind too much.

Overpriced

Liked: Good location near CU campus and Pearl Street
Disliked: Take away the ?basecamp? theme and this is nothing more than a glorified motel. It is not a hotel despite the name. It is an old time motel that has been spiffed up with some cheap decor. Underneath the ?lipstick? it is still an old motel. Rooms are antiquated, water pressure is terrible, little soundproofing, no in-room safe... You can get far more value for your money elsewhere.

Pleasant

Liked: The hotel is very well located and staff is very nice.
Disliked: The rooms are dark and a bit musty, a bit like a (spacious) cave. The hotel was overpriced, which may have been a function of the dates that I spent in Boulder.
