Disappointing - due to the...

Liked: Excellent bedroom with air con, very comfortable kingsize bed for sleeping. Large Size of bathroom - no air con - and unfortunately smelt of musty. Excellent sun terrace for lunch.Evening meal was lovely and the youngest members of staff are the nicest and smiliest.
Disliked: Reception Staff very unfriendly, cold and has put off coming again or recommending. They need smile training and general welcome guest training - it was absolutely awful. Never offered anything at the Spa during our visit. Northamptonshire is not somewhere we will visit again. Kettering was awful never got out of the car. Lunch - we both had pannis - tuna - & bacon and cranberry….. the bacon was awful - 60% fat. Spa access only happens once you have checked in. As a hotel guest you can’t book in advance to use the Spa. Spa can only be used for 3 consecutive hours for one visit during your stay which is inconvenient after you have just had lunch. And who wants to get up at 0830 on a Sunday to sit a pool - oh and by the way to do that you have to sacrifice any breakfast. Awful ….. we wanted a lovely breakfast and at least 1hr in the spa and possibly a treatment. We left without using Spa pool or any treatment and no breakfast. We checked out and left. The business needs to up its game - the buildings and physical rooms and what we could see of the spa were all of a reasonable high standard - but we didn’t feel welcome, we didnt feel like we were on a special night away

Disliked: The rain outside, my stay cold only have been improved if the staff had stopped the rain ( just to find something I didn't like at this location and fill out this form ) jokes aside, nothing that I didn't like.
