Nice place, shame about the...

Liked: Lovely old building with very pretty grounds. Great location about 30 mins from Edinburgh.
Disliked: Dinner service was very slow and the food was poor.

Liked: Lovely place and staff very helpful
Disliked: First room the toilet was broken and was moved room. Meal in evening wasn't so great

Very good

Liked: Really friendly staff, great location and very clean.
Disliked: Shower in room wasn't very powerful, wife got her gordons gin in a small nip glass, at breakfast there was a shortage of all food.

Great last minute deal in...

Liked: Good price last minute deal on a classy upmarket hotel. Welcoming staff, nice style, very adequate single room, lovely breakfast.
Disliked: Room was a long way from reception and up 2 flights of stairs (area not served by the lifts). Did not trouble me, but not being warned of this at time of booking (I wasnt) Could have been big problem to someone less mobile.

Liked: Our stay was excellent from start to finish Emma at reception, Michelle at Breakfast, Hanna my room cleaner and all the ladies and gents in the restaurant and bar in the evening, thank you all
