Comfy sleep, great location.

Liked: I was competing at University of Wolves. There was plenty of parking. Easy to find. Lidl over the road. Lovely friendly welcome on arrival. Offered breakfast but as I was competing it was not for me. I can't comment on the quality but it was £10 per person. Hotel looked a bit dates on the stairs and corridor. The room was Premier Inn standard. Plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable (I am 6ft 5 and 19 stone). Shower was a decent height, water temp was a bit inconsistent, but I underatand the hotel was fully booked when we stayed. Was very peaceful stay and comfortable. I will look you up if I return to Walsall next year.
Disliked: No expelair working in the bathroom, so it became a sauna. I found the bath towels a bit small, but I am 6ft 5 and 19 stone. I am not sure the carpet was hoovered as I found nail clippings by the window. No aircon.

July Stay 2025

Liked: The staff were very accommodating, allowing us to sit in the bar area and eat food we'd brought in from Lidl right across the road. From the outside it looked dated and around the back of the building derelict. However inside was nice, fairly modern and clean.Bar area had plenty of room for couple, kids, or families and although Bar expensive they allow drinks brought in. The beds were comfy and the triple room more then adequate for our needs. 2 bed in one room with an archway into 2nd area before seperate room for toilet/bath etc...Enough lighting and sockets for all 3 of us however TV signal wasn't great.
Disliked: Our room had a broken plus socket which did make a noise when charging phone so removed it immediately. The shower didnt work and something wasn't right from the connection /pipe.

Cheap, not so cheerful.

Liked: Staff were really polite, courteous and helpful. The room was big with a comfy bed. The breakfast was good, rand there was a decent sized selection. Great location to get out and explore the midland.
Disliked: The hotel is a bit of a maze, signs showing reception direction point in the wrong way. The shower was terrible, my son is 6ft 6 and couldn’t fit in. The shower also was had 2 temperatures, cold or scalding! It would frequently change these whilst having a wash!!The front of the hotel looks a bit ropey, I thought the building was derelict!!
