Liked: The staff are unbelievable I mean they go above and beyond for you.Place is so calming and relaxing which Is what we wanted being away from two young children Grounds are stunning Lots of games in house like scrabble which we enjoyed playing The open fires were just the icing on the cake The beds were the most comfiest beds I’ve slept in, so much so I’ve ordered the same pillows and mattress topper. The rooms were spotless and soooo cosy. We stayed in a sweet with our very own log fire.
Disliked: The food I found, lunch wasn’t the greatest The bread for our sandwiches was a tad stale and I would have like a bit more variety on the lunch menu. The chips were a tad greasy but saying that the evening meals were flawless.

Perfect getaway to switch off!

Liked: We loved our stay - the staff were so friendly and helpful - always on hand for any questions we had. The food at the restaurant and the breakfast was exceptional - especially when ordered to the room. We also ventured over to the boot for lunch which was equally as magic!Lots of thoughtful touches throughout - use of wellies, DVDs, bikes, mini-bar.
Disliked: I really think for the price of these rooms, the hotel could cancel the sky subscription and put in smart TVs. The sky didn't even give people the opportunity to record anything on the tv and there was no access to sky movies. This would allow the hotel to appeal to a younger audience and also give more opportunities for folks in the winter when it's raining outdoors. Most people these days have a smart tv, no matter what age. The team did give us the option of picking some DVDs (which we took full advantage of!) but this felt quite old fashioned and was quite a faff.The bed itself was 2 singles pushed together which again, for the price I would expect a real King Size bed. In our room, there was no mirrors to get ready in - the bathroom mirrors were too low to see into and the mirror on the desk was too high! Again this is a small detail but would make guests more comfortable. We had use of the log fire in the room, but the logs were unfortunately wet. We actually went out to purchase fire starters but the fire wouldn't stay on for long. It might be a nice touch to offer someone to come and start the fire for guests or ask when the guest is arriving and if they'd like the fire on.

Cute country side inn, good...

Liked: The property was beautiful but the interior of the rooms, while modern and clean, did. It quite fit the Cotswolds location and vibes. The location was great.
Disliked: The pool and spa were only accessible if you were using spa services. The staff was polite but almost acted like they did not want you there and if we were a nuisance. For a 4 stars luxury hotel at the price we paid, we did not get the treatment we have seen in other hotels of the caliper. It felt like staying at a country inn, but we were charged the price of a luxury hotel which was disappointing. The staff did not check in on us almost ever, in fact it felt like we were staying at an Airbnb. Breakfast was good, but dinner and the afternoon tea were disappointing.
