Beautiful location, dated facilities

Liked: Location is great and the bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The room itself had a lot of human hair that wasn’t cleaned from the last person, I presume, so unsure how thoroughly the room was cleaned. We also went to the on site restaurant, which was pretty sad all in all. The salad bar was not kept stocked with greens, the soup wasn’t labeled. The soup was really good, though, whatever it was, haha. The worst part was the prime rib as it’s my boyfriend’s favorite meal to get anywhere we go and this was not edible. It didn’t even look like prime rib. It was their special that night so if you’re going to have a special, be sure you can provide that. We are not people who usually say anything, but we did in this case since it was so bad. The chicken tetrazzini was good but not great. The on-site bar was well stocked and decently priced. Everyone on the staff who we talked to were super nice.

Liked: The facilities are always inviting. You can't beat the view of Lake Superior, it is gorgeous year round. The rooms are always clean.
Disliked: The large table that is a "desk" is about to fall down. You can see a screw that was put in, but the wood is bowed out. This item needs to be replaced.

Liked: The sauna was nice. Location was easy to remember.
Disliked: Hallways were messy. Staff wasn't very friendly.

Stay was, overall pretty good....

Liked: We like the convenience of the restaurant, bar & plenty of parking ! We like staying on the 1st floor. Also, the outdoor surroundings and lake are beautiful & nice for walking.
Disliked: We were hoping to use the hot tub, but jets weren’t working & tub looked dirty. The sauna didn’t seem to be working either. One of the reasons why we stayed 2 nights !
