Retro Motor Lodge

Liked: This was a cute retro motor lodge. You can walk to the cute Bardstown area from the motor lodge. They have a fire in the fire-pit in the courtyard. All rooms have a fridge and keurig. The staff were friendly and the room was clean.

Very good

Good value and great location.

Liked: Location was great and the room was very clean. It is somewhat modest but very clean and comfortable. The full size Keurig was great!
Disliked: The room was sparse and the blinds were a little cheap.

Exceptional

Liked: Staff is always exceptional ! Went above and beyond in finding a microwave for our room. Pool is amazing !
Disliked: In the pouring rain..... the gutters need cleaned bad Overpour was messy

The stay was great enough...

Liked: The style of the lodge was great. We loved the courtyard and the bar.
Disliked: The first night, our room did not have a remote for the television. I'm not sure where they were. The staff gave us the one from the lobby. Also, the batteries in the smoke detector went off every few minutes. The staff fixed these issues right away. Thanks for that!

Exceptional

Liked: At lot of people frown when you say motor lodge or motel, but let me tell you they are missing out on this gem! Amber and Shauna we absolutely wonderful! Always had a smile and eager to help! The rooms are clean and oh so comfortable. The housekeeping staff were great as well. Seriously can't wait to stay here again.
Disliked: Wish we would have had a microwave.

We stayed for the nostalgia,...

Liked: Location was good.
Disliked: Septic backed up into the shower. Had to move rooms. Went from a King Suite to a double room. I was told by the receptionist that were going to comp part of the price. My receipt showed I paid full price for the king suite without any discounts. Not a good way to do business.
