Good location, worked fine for...
Liked: Great location. Nice remodel of an older property.
Disliked: We had a ground level room and got a lot of parking lot noise at all hours. Employees were hard to find. Asked about the s’mores during the evening and was told “I’d have to make them” but then the employee disappeared again and no s’mores. Another guest helped us find the supplies for the fire pit.

Cozy motel
Liked: The cutest motel I ever stayed. The room was so clean, and had all the essentials. Friendly staff, and self-check in/check out made things smooth.
Disliked: Nothing

All-in-all, a convenient place to...
Liked: Where was the breakfast? Was it in the same "magical" place as the smores?!? The room was fine except for the musty smell that seems to come with all older buildings like this one that have been remodeled. Space was good and the retro feel was fun.
Disliked: It was a nice, quiet stay until Friday night when the couple in the next room started fighting. After the guy hit his girlfriend in the face, they decided to take it outside of our window. Not the best way to get a good night's sleep before traveling the next day.The tub cover was a little un-nerving as it bubbled and popped beneath our feet.

Interesting concept, but still an...
Liked: The concept of a freshened up motor lodge is an interesting one. They've done a nice job with paint, furnishings, and the like to create an eclectic mid-century modern vibe. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were clean. The air conditioning worked well. The location is a quick drive to Bardstown distilleries and other attractions, but you're a solid 15-20 minute walk to most of downtown Bardstown so keep this in mind if you're looking for easy walking access to shops, resturances, and the like. I had no trouble finding parking.I did not try the pool or the patio bar, nor the affiliated restaurant Toogie's Table.
Disliked: At the end of the day, paint and furniture can only go so far. It's still an old motor lodge. The walls are thin; noise from adjoining rooms was considerable. It woke me up every night and every morning I stayed there.Perhaps my biggest objection is value - at over $360/nt during the weekends, with no breakfast or housekeeping included, it's an absurdly steep price point for the quality of the property, the size of the room, and the (relative lack of) amenities. I am not likely to return here.
