Barclay Hotel

Great place; great price; nothing fancy but all you need for a place to crash after a show.

Liked: Great price for Vancouver and satisfactorily nice and clean inside relative to the price! The pub downstairs was great too - awesome people working the bar.

Disliked: No elevator could be an ssue for anyway with mobility issues or elderly. Also, no area for food or making a cup of tea etc

Liked: Under construction prices. No elevator. I’m 77. Taking a long trip with luggage. Staff on arrival was overwhelmed. Entrance was way full of ladders blocking entry. Should have known by the price vs location.
Disliked: See above. Location was only good thing. Bed uncomfortable.

Liked: The hotel has a great location downtown, on the main street, so you can walk everywhere downtown. The hotel is not the newest or the fanciest, but it serves the purpose. At the moment, some renovations are going on but it didn't affect our stay (maybe because we were there on the weekend?) Even if it is on one of the main streets (our room was at the back) it was really quiet during the night.
