Great place; great price; nothing fancy but all you need for a place to crash after a show.

Liked: Great price for Vancouver and satisfactorily nice and clean inside relative to the price! The pub downstairs was great too - awesome people working the bar.

Very great hospitality and good...

Liked: The staff was absolutely amazing here. They had a bit of renovation, but we barely noticed. Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished!!

Tired hotel in a great...

Liked: The renovation works made for an unhappy start at the Barclay Hotel. The hotel room was tired, with the bathroom and windows needing modernising. However the beds were comfortable and the sheets clean. The hotel staff however graciously granted us a refund for our second night, they didn’t have to and we really appreciated the gesture.
Disliked: The building works, the lobby and bathroom

Good location at reasonable cost

Liked: Location was perfect. Right downtown in the middle of lots of restaurants and close to attractions. Staff were wonderful and accommodating. Offered suggestions for spending our limited time

Pleasant

Disliked: Construction started at 7:15am 1st morning and 7:30am 2nd morning. When mentioned to staff about noise starting so early they said to come back , next staff member brushed it off.
