This hotel was already rated low, but I decided I could be low maintenance and deal with the minimal.. I have no problem with motels and have stayed at several with no issues…. Well… the elevator door almost crushed me 2/4 times, our keys wouldn’t work to our hotel room and we went back down to the lobby to get back in line to have them “fixed”…. After the 3rd attempt we said screw it. The hotel was gross, the elevator was extremely unsafe and honestly that hotel needs to be burnt down and rebuilt. HORRIBLE. we cancelled my reservation and the three of us desperately called around for any room available at ANY other hotel. Thank goodness the Hampton Inn came to the rescue!!!! I hate how this experience almost ruined our evening but thank goodness we were able to laugh about how absurd it was later. Just horrible. Other guests on the elevator with me were also talking out loud about their concern. Just a big NO. spend an extra $40-50 dollars and go to the Hampton Inn! Barclay is depressing, unsafe, unhygienic place to be. I truly don’t know how it passed inspection.
Liked: The packaged muffins in the lobby.
Disliked: Everything but the muffins.

I could probably blather on about the "dated" decor or the comforter wasn't the right thread count, but I have a life. The quality of the staff was excellent and they were as helpful as I could want. I will make it a priority to stay here everytime I get to Atlanta. You won't find a better deal right in the middle of everything! Seriously, park your car and forget about it. Can't possibly say enough good about the experience.
Liked: Everything was outstanding.
Disliked: Couldnt stay longer.

I worked for Marriott for over 10 years and have never met a nicer staff! I felt like everyone was there for our service. Breakfast location and set up worked great for us! Although it is an older property, it is clean. Can't beat the location and I highly recommend.
Liked: Nicest staff!

The staff at the hotel was amazing. We did not encounter one employee at this hotel who was anything other than hospitable.
Liked: VERY comfortable beds!
Disliked: We stayed in a smoking room and the balcony door barely opened for us to get outside.

We were attending a show at the Tabernacle and it was in walking distance. Everything was - Centennial Park, CNN, Coca Cola building, great restaurants, aquarium - there is so much to do in this one part of Atlanta and once you park you don't have to worry about driving anywhere else. The hotel was clean and nice - very friendly staff and great affordable price.
Liked: Very friendly staff and awesome location.
Disliked: Cleaning lady tried to enter the room hours before check out time.

The employees were very kind, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms were nice - I was very comfortable. The location is perfect if you plan on attending an event at the Tabernacle - it is in eye sight from the hotel.
Liked: Friendly service; great view from hotel room; convenient location

My boyfriend and I travelled to Atlanta from Alabama for a concert at the Tabernacle. This hotel was exactly what we needed it to be: cheap and close to the venue. The staff was super friendly and I even enjoyed running on the treadmill the next morning.
Liked: Great location for going to a concert at the Tabernacle. Incredibly friendly staff
Disliked: Better fitness room better air conditioning
