Barcelona

Liked: Location was within walking distance to shops restaurants etc. Staff friendly & helpful. Nice to have a juice/champess on arrival. Nice cocktails upstairs
Disliked: No milk & tea on arrival.

Rough area and sleezy decor

Liked: Free upgrade to deluxe room
Disliked: Location is dreadful, really rough area, prostitutes and homeless hanging around outside hotel. Didn’t feel safe leaving at night or even day to be honest. One homeless person outside hotel had knickers down ankles picking shit out of her bum and flinging it into the street !!! The hotel decor reminded me of a brothel or some sort which was fitting with prostitues hanging around. If wasn’t upgraded probably would have been really not happy with hotel. Breakfast needs more options

Tragic scam for tourists. Good...

Liked: Rooftop terrace view is nice
Disliked: Pool is tiny. No lights next to mirror you see yourself in the shadow. Upon asking for a solution, swapped to the worst room on first floor with no view. Staff does not care about your problems. Could not sleep in new room because AC stopped working. Too hot all night and all day! Staff told us to wait for maintenance. The guy comes to our room and says he isnt maintenance and doesnt know how to fix. After 5 hours he left, ac worked for no more than 2 minutes - electricity went off completely! Reception again told us to wait. After two more hours the guy came, again no rest on our final days of a weekly stay. They fixed AC & electricity but the ac started making rattling noises. We gave up complaining. Just left after one more day. Tragic waste of a thousand+ euros. Neighbourhood so dangerous not every taxi wants to come.
